Se inicia la sesión, con un juego de crosswords, para recordar el vocabulario aprendido en la clase

Getting Around
Ica is located a bit west of the southcentralpart of Perujust south of Lima. Due to its great location and fertile
valleys, it was suggested that it become the capital of the viceroyalty of Peru,but the conqueror Francisco Pizarro
(in charge of the expedition) vetoed the idea.
At the present, Ica is mainly visited by road because so many intersecting asphalt roads connect Ica's maincities to
the main cities of the rest of Peru. The most traveled north-south route is the Panamericana. The international
airport of Pisco, Captain Renan Elias Olivera,will receive international and domestic flights when it is completed
in 201 7. This will be a good alternative for those looking for a few sunny days before heading to the cold Andean
lv1ountains to visit lv1achu Pichu. Some cruise companies stop here for one or two days as well.
lv1oving around Ica can be a challenge if you don't speak Spanish. It is hard to find people who speak English
outside the main tourist areas such as Paracas, Nasca, and the Huacahina Oasis. Ica is a medium-size city which
can be dangerous in some areas. It is important to hire safe means of transportation to get there and to move
around within the city.

Getting Around
he Apurímac River is one of those well-kept treasures of Peru that all lovers of physical activity outdoors
and contact with nature should paddle sometime in life.

The word Apurímac comes from the Quechua language and means “gentleman who speaks” According
to the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, the Apurímac river was also called Capac Mayu, which means “Main
River”, in order to highlight its importance on the other torrents. The Spanish Pedro Pizarro helps us
understand the place that this river occupied in the Andean worldview, affirming in its chronicles the
existence of a temple and oracle, close to this tributary, that were removed during the conquest.
The section that is commercially navigated is located on the border between Cusco and Apurímac.
However, this river is born in Arequipa, in the thaw of the snowy Mismi (5597 meters above sea level),
and flows from south to north until it flows into the Amazon, the longest and largest river on the planet.

The Apurímac river canyon is truly a natural sanctuary that allows you moments of authentic
connection with yourself and teaches you to dimension the importance that we should give to things. It is
not so difficult to break the routine if we dare to take the opportunities that are presented to us to do
something new and recharge with good energy.
