Descripción de la Secuencia de Actividad:

Pair work

1. Read the instructions carefully. Include all the requirements and highlight according to the
checklist.
2. Imagine you’re shopping and you want to buy some presents.
Write a dialogue between 2-3 people in no more than 2 pages, using the grammar and
vocabulary of the Unit 1.

3. Include the following:


a. A brief description where the dialogues take place.
b. 3 questions using “How much”
c. One sentence using “this”.
d. One sentence using “that”.
e. One sentence using “these”.
f. One sentence using “those”.
g. Three sentences using Present continuous.
h. Colors, climate, and clothing vocabulary (4 at least).
i. Verb forms included (want to, need to, have to, like to) one sentence each.
j. Check grammar and spelling.
k. Highlight the grammar requirements in different colors (according to the checklist)
l. Include the checklist.

La Actividad 1 se entregará de manera presencial de acuerdo con el cronograma de
actividades. Revisa el orden:
1. Dialogue.
2. Checklist (incluir porcentajes de participación y un breve reporte de lo que
cada uno realizó).

• El documento debe estar completo, correcto, y entregado en tiempo y forma.
• De cometer plagio, los puntos de esta actividad serán descontados.

Descripción de la Secuencia de Actividad:

You are going to work in teams of 4-5 people. Read the instructions carefully.

1. Describe the life of an important person: scientist, philosopher, philanthropist, or


someone who helped a lot of people. NOTE: choose someone who is dead, not alive.
2. Write the biography of the person in a Word document.
3. Then, prepare a PPT presentation to explain his/her life. Use keywords or short
sentences to help you.

Task 1: Document: Biography

4. Answer the questions below about your famous character:

• What was his/her name?


• Where and when was he/she born?
• Where did he/she live?
• What was he/she famous for?
• Write five important/relevant events that happened in his/her life
• When did he/she die and how?
• Why did you choose him/her?

5. Based on the information, write the biography of the important person in three paragraphs:
a. Paragraph 1: Describe personal information and early years.
b. Paragraph 2: Describe the important/relevant events in his/her life.
c. Paragraph 3: Describe his/her final years and why you chose him/her.
6. Include the following in the biography:
a. 7 affirmative sentences in Past simple (different verbs: regular and irregular).
b. 3 negative sentences in Past simple (didn’t).
c. 4 sentences using was/were (2 each).
d. 5 different adjectives (vocabulary from Unit 11).

7. Do not forget to highlight all the aspects required according to the checklist.
8. Avoid “copy and paste sentences” write your own ideas instead.
9. Avoid grammar or spelling mistakes.
10. Include all the references at the end of the biography.
11. The text must be clear and easy to understand.

Task 2: Power Point Presentation (PPT) and explanation

12. Prepare a PPT presentation where you describe the biography. Everyone must participate
equally.
13. The PPT should include:
a. Keywords or short phrases (to summarize the main ideas).
b. Pictures (5 at least).
c. 5-8 slides. The first slide will be the cover page.
d. The PPT must be clear, easy to understand, and coherent.
e. See an example:

14. Then, in class, explain your slides. Do not read but provide details.
15. The explanation must be clear, avoid reading, and practice the information before explaining
(practice the pronunciation of words).
16. Upload the PPT (check the correct section on the platform). One presentation per team. Check
the schedules.

You are going to work in teams of 3-4.

1. In teams, you are going to create an article to talk about a country. Describe its culture and food.
Finally, create a PPT to explain the previous article.

TASK 1: Article

2. Complete the sentences below about the place you would like to visit:

a. Country you would like to visit (Title) __________________________


b. Write five things you can do in this country (complete sentences).
c. Write two thing you can’t do in this country (manners, behavior, traditions, etc.).
d. Write about eating habits of people in this country. You can write affirmative and
negative sentences:
• 1 sentence about food with “some”.
• 1 sentence about food with “many”.
• 1 sentence about food with “any”.
• 1 sentence about food with “a lot of”.
• 1 sentence about food with “much”.
• “Did you know” section (2 complete sentences).
• Include vocabulary of languages and nationalities (3 words at least)

3. Write your magazine article.

5. The PPT should include:
