THE NUMBERS:

May be you know some numbers in English, yes, from 1 to 10 Right? However, do you know all the
combinations? Now we will learn lots of combinations of numbers, which will help us to describe the
Time, express the price of the clothes, or some food you want to sell or buy.

Well what about if we try to write some combinations of numbers:

11: Eleven 12: twelve 13:thirteen 14: fourteen 15: fifteen

16: sixteen 17: seventeen 18: eighteen 19: nineteen 20: twenty

Take note that all numbers from 13 until 19 end with the Word “Teen”, that’s reason why people from
13 until 19 years old are called “Teenagers”, which in Spanish means “Adolescente”.

Please take a look at the next table with some combination of numbers, so you can understand better
this topic, and then you will be able to develop correctly the proposed Activities.

Puede que conozcas algunos números en inglés, sí, del 1 al 10, ¿verdad? Sin embargo, ¿conoces todas las combinaciones?
Ahora aprenderemos muchas combinaciones de números, que nos ayudarán a describir el Tiempo, expresar el precio de la
ropa, o alguna comida que quieras vender o comprar.

Ten en cuenta que todos los números del 13 al 19 terminan con la palabra "Teen", por eso a las personas de entre 13 y 19
años se les llama "Teenagers", que en español traduce Adolecente”.

Por favor, echa un vistazo a la siguiente tabla con algunas combinaciones de números, para que así puedas comprender
mejor este tema, y entonces podrás desarrollar correctamente las Actividades propuestas.

Como se dice en Ingles ¿Qué hora es?

You can either ask what time is it? or what’s the time?
ACTIVIDADES DE APROPIACIÓN DEL CONOCIMIENTO.

Activity 1: The apprentices will write the time in letters in English, according with the
numbers given.

12:00 = It’s twelve o’clock. 12:30 = It’s half past twelve

12:05 = It’s twelve five. 12:35 = It’s twelve thirty-five

12:10 = It’s ten past twelve 12:45 = It’s twelve and fourty

12:15 = It’s twelve-fifteen 12:50 = It’s twelve fifty

12:20 = It’s twenty past twelve 12:55 = It’s twelve fifty-give

12:25 = It’s twenty five past twelve 1:00 = It’s one o’clock

Activity 2: Write the following numbers in letters.

50 = Fifty. 1250 = One thousand two hundred five

35 = Thirty five. 500 = Five hundred

100 = One hundred 1.550 = One thousand five hundred fifty

105 = One hundred and five 8.000 = Eight thousand

ACTIVIDADES DE APROPIACIÓN DEL CONOCIMIENTO.
Activity 4: The Instructor will use the “Domino” in order to ask the apprentices one by
one, how to DE

the time. DEL CONOCIMIENTO.
- Usar el las fichas de dominó con el objetivo de preguntarle a los estudiantes uno por uno, como decir la hora, o
decir una combinación de números. Esta actividad se realiza en la formación junto con el Profesor.

- El instructor usa los relojes para preguntar la hora a los aprendices.

Activity 5: Realizar un dialogo en parejas, usando como modelo la pag. 134 del libro Side
by Side 1 (Student Book).pdf. En este dialogo el aprendiz A debe decir a qué horas
comienza X Actividad, a lo que el aprendiz B responde la hora, el aprendiz A cae en
cuenta que se les va a hacer tarde pues está cerca a la hora de inicio de esta actividad, el
aprendiz B dice q aún no se pueden ir pues está haciendo X actividad, el aprendiz A dice
q por favor se apresure pues no quiere que lleguen tarde.

Como evidencia se debe grabar (1) uno de los (4) cuatro Diálogos en archivos de sonido
y enviarlos al Drive a una carpeta con el Nombre Taller 3 – Dialogo. Lo ideal es hacerlo
en parejas, si no es posible ud. mismo realiza las preguntas y las respuestas.
