QUÉ ES LA NETosis?
Es un mecanismo de los neutrófilos para la
formación de trampas celulares, que
consisten en cormatina modificada
asociada a proteínas bactericiads de
gránulos y citoplasma.
Hay varios estímulos que pueden casuar la
NETosis, como patógenos, anticuerpos y
complejos inmunes, citoquinas,
microcristales.

importante en el desarrollo de las patologías
autoinmunes debido a la exposición de
autoantígenos que pueden ser nucleares o de
los gránulos antimicrobianos en el espacio
extracelular
NETs en el COVID 19

Con respecto al COVID 19 , se han descrito grandes niveles de NETs en los pacientes, recordemos que en la
netosis “atrapan” a los patógenos por sus redes
(que contienen ADN, histonas , enzimas oxidativas y proteínas microbicidas) e impiden su replicación
favoreciendo así su eliminación.
Pero también los NETs dañan directamente a los tejidos colaterales ante las infecciones respiratorias en
donde eliminan células endoteliales y epiteliales. En los pacientes se observó un aumento de MPO-ADN e histona-
H3 citrulinada que son los marcadores de la formación de NETs.

CONCLUSIONES:

Los NETs son mecanismos de respuesta de la inmunidad innata cuando hay una
infección en donde una malla de ADN es liberada y encierra proteínas e histonas y su
formación depende del tipo del estímulo empleado y del tiempo.
