Lista de adjetivos en inglés

¿Qué es un adjetivo?
En pocas palabras, un adjetivo es una palabra que califica a un sustantivo. Los adjetivos sirven para
describir un sustantivo (una persona, una cosa, un lugar, un animal, etc.) y para expresar las
características que este tiene. Por ejemplo, para describir un perro, podrías usar adjetivos para
hablar de su tamaño, edad, belleza, carácter y mucho más. Y sin duda, una oración con adjetivos
suena mucho más interesante que una que carece de ellos. Veamos algunos ejemplos:

The dog greeted me.

El perro me saludó.

The old dog greeted me.

El perro viejo me saludó.

The affectionate, old dog greeted me.

El perro viejo y cariñoso me saludó.

¿Cómo se usa un adjetivo?

En español, un adjetivo suele colocarse justo después del sustantivo que describe. En inglés, sin
embargo, un adjetivo típicamente se coloca antesdel sustantivo que describe:

a big house
una casa grande

the small dog
el perro pequeño

a sunny day
un día soleado

comunes en inglés, junto a su traducción en español y una oración de ejemplo. Para ayudarte, los
adjetivos de la lista están agrupados en las siguientes categorías: calidad, tamaño y dimensión,
edad, velocidad, tiempo, temperatura y clima, sabor y otro.

Calidad

good : bueno Today is a good day.  Hoy es un día bueno.

Tamaño y dimensión

large : grande What a big dog!  ¡Qué perro tan grande!

Temperatura y clima
