Guias SEPTIMO
Glad: Contento
Joyful: Alegre
Optimistic: Entusiasta, optimista
Proud: Orgulloso(a)
Powerful: Poderoso(a)
Seguramente podríamos expresar “I am surprised by your visit” o también puedes decirlo
así:
Startled: Sorprendido (a)
Excited: Emocionado(a)
Confused: Confundido(a)
Bored: aburrido
Depressed: Deprimido
Lonely: Desolado
Guilty: Culpable
Abandoned: Abandonado
Scared: Asustado
Spooked: Asustado, espantado
Fearful: Miedoso, temeroso
Anxious: Nervioso
Frightened: Aterrado
Alarmed: Alarmado, asustado

WAS, WERE DID.
Hay varios tipos de oraciones que pueden ser de verbo to be, regulares e irregulares.
Aquí nos enfocaremos únicamente en las del tipo “verbo to be” que se caracterizan por
incluir los verbos “was” y “were”, siendo el primero de estos la versión singular y el
segundo la plural.
Aprenderás cómo usar Was, Were y Did en ingles. Esta Lección contiene ejercicios e
respuestas. Tenemos cuatro formas de ver el pasado simple del verbo to be, que son la
forma positiva, la forma negativa, pregunta y respuesta corta:
Forma Positiva
He, She o It. Cuando es el segundo caso de “were” debemos utilizar You, They o We.
Forma Negativa
Cuando se dice “I was not” se puede contraer diciendo “I wasn’t”.
Por ejemplo:
Pregunta
They.
Used to be
• There used to be a store in that corner (Antes había una tienda en esa esquina)
• There didn’t use to be a store in that corner (Antes no había una tienda en esa
esquina)
Did
“were”, porque se puede utilizar perfectamente I, He, She, It, You, They y We en
cualquier caso.

Veamos algunos ejemplos:
I want the pen – Quiero el bolígrafo
Artículo indefinido: A o An
Partes del cuerpo con verbo to have: My boyfriend has small nose – Mi novio tiene
Cats are fun / The cats are fun – Los gatos son divertidos.
They’re looking for a man / They’re looking for men – Están buscando a un hombre
/ Están buscando hombres
– I’m in ( ) hurry
– Do you think ( ) health is important?
