Dear parents and guardians, February 26, 2023

At the end of this letter there is a copy of a newsletter that your child received

earlier today. This newsletter “Behind the Screen” is about cyberbullying. With the new

school wide policy, Bring your own Device, students will be using their personal device

to complete assignments at school and at home. Since students are increasing their

time spent on devices and the internet, it is important to discuss cyberbullying.

Cyberbullying is a serious concern as it can affect many students. As educators and

guardians, it is our responsibility to teach about the responsibility of technology to

students. This newsletter will provide insight about cyberbullying and what to do if your

child is a victim of it. Students are encouraged to always be kind to others and told to

reach out to a trusted adult if they experience or witness any cyberbullying. Please help

to keep our children safe and secure on the internet. Please reach out to me if you have

Al final de esta carta hay una copia de un boletín que su hijo recibió hoy. Este boletín

“Detrás de la pantalla” trata sobre el ciberacoso. Con la nueva política de toda la

escuela, Traiga su propio dispositivo, los estudiantes usarán su dispositivo personal

para completar las tareas en la escuela y en el hogar. Dado que los estudiantes están

aumentando el tiempo que pasan en dispositivos e Internet, es importante hablar sobre

el ciberacoso. El acoso cibernético es una preocupación seria ya que puede afectar a

muchos estudiantes. Como educadores y guardianes, es nuestra responsabilidad

enseñar sobre la responsabilidad de la tecnología a los estudiantes. Este boletín le

brindará información sobre el acoso cibernético y qué hacer si su hijo es víctima de él.

Se alienta a los estudiantes a que siempre sean amables con los demás y se les dice

que se comuniquen con un adulto de confianza si experimentan o presencian algún tipo

de acoso cibernético. Ayude a mantener a nuestros niños seguros y protegidos en
