Dear Parents and Guardians,

As educators and parents, the children’s safety is our number one priority.
The first step to that is making sure this technology is used responsibly.
Attached to this letter is a copy of a newsletter given to your students about
internet safety. With the recent bring your own device (BYOD) policy in place,
students will be using more technology with tablets, computers, and phones
to complete classroom activities. To continue to be able to have digital
citizenship, students are expected to use these devices and the Internet
properly. They are to directly report any wrongdoings seen by classmates or
themselves to someone, whether another teacher, a guardian, or me. Within
the newsletter are a few different videos and articles that will help inform you on how to keep your child safe on the
Internet at home. I am excited about this endeavor to be able to take our students’ learning to the next level.

Como educadores y padres, la seguridad de los niños es nuestra prioridad

número uno. El primer paso para eso es asegurarse de que esta tecnología
se use de manera responsable. Adjunto a esta carta se encuentra una copia
de un boletín informativo que se entrega a sus estudiantes sobre la
seguridad en Internet. Con la reciente política de traer su propio dispositivo
(BYOD), los estudiantes usarán más tecnología con tabletas, computadoras
y teléfonos para completar las actividades del salón de clases. Para
continuar teniendo la ciudadanía digital, se espera que los estudiantes usen
estos dispositivos e Internet correctamente. Deben informar directamente a alguien, ya sea a otro maestro, a un tutor
oa mí, cualquier irregularidad que vean sus compañeros de clase o ellos mismos. Dentro del boletín hay algunos
videos y artículos diferentes que lo ayudarán a informarse sobre cómo mantener a su hijo seguro en Internet en
casa. Estoy entusiasmado con este esfuerzo para poder llevar el aprendizaje de nuestros estudiantes al siguiente
nivel.
