Dear Parents and Guardians,

With the Internet becoming an everyday tool in the classroom, I wanted to teach the students a
way for them to protect themselves by recognizing what ‘phishing’ is. I have provided a paper copy and
you may also view this copy on my teacher website http://vanessakerner.com to save for your records.
For additional information on what to look for in a phishing attack, I have also attached a QR code at the
end with several examples. Parents and students may view the information on their mobile device,
home computer, or our community library which is conveniently located across the street from Hawkins
Middle School.

I am hoping that this information may even be useful in your work place and if you learn
anything valuable, please pass the information on to friends and family to keep our community safe!

Dado que Internet se está convirtiendo en una herramienta cotidiana en el aula, quería enseñar a los
estudiantes una forma de protegerse reconociendo qué es el 'phishing'. He proporcionado una copia en
papel y también puede ver esta copia en el sitio web de mi maestro http://vanessakerner.com para
guardarla para sus registros. Para obtener información adicional sobre qué buscar en un ataque de
phishing, también adjunté un código QR al final con varios ejemplos. Los padres y los estudiantes
