Dear Parents/Guardians,

I have attached an infographic about digital friendships. The infographic covers the benefits and risks of
online-only friendships, how to safely respond to online friends, a short video about online friends, a
podcast about keeping your child safe online, and information about how to talk to your child about
their online presence. I have also included a QR code linked to an additional website and a meCode that
will give you more information on how to contact me. Using technology can be beneficial for students,
but it also comes with risks. It is important for children to understand these risks and be aware of what
to do in these certain situations. We will be using technology in our classroom this year so I want to
provide students and parents/guardians with resources about digital citizenship. My expectations are
that students will feel comfortable with using technology and we can use these resources to further our

Estimados padres/tutores,

Adjunto una infografía sobre las amistades digitales. La infografía cubre los beneficios y riesgos de las
amistades solo en línea, cómo responder de manera segura a los amigos en línea, un video corto sobre
los amigos en línea, un podcast sobre cómo mantener a su hijo seguro en línea e información sobre
cómo hablar con su hijo sobre su presencia en línea. . También he incluido un código QR vinculado a un
sitio web adicional y un meCode que le brindará más información sobre cómo comunicarse conmigo. El
uso de la tecnología puede ser beneficioso para los estudiantes, pero también conlleva riesgos. Es
importante que los niños comprendan estos riesgos y sepan qué hacer en determinadas situaciones.
Usaremos tecnología en nuestro salón de clases este año, por lo que quiero brindarles a los estudiantes
y padres/tutores recursos sobre ciudadanía digital. Mis expectativas son que los estudiantes se sientan
cómodos con el uso de la tecnología y que podamos utilizar estos recursos para ampliar nuestro
