Dear Parents and Guardians, October 17, 2022

Attached to this letter is a copy of a newsletter that has been given to your students about

our class topic of Cyberbullying. As technology becomes a norm in today’s classrooms, it is

important to understand the basics of internet safety and bullying in order to become great

“Digital Citizens.” Students will be using tablets, computers, iPhones, and iPad’s to complete

educational activities in the classroom as well as in the home environment. As educators and

parents, we want to ensure our students are using the technology in a responsible, reasonable,

and safe manor. In order to become a “digital citizen”, students have certain expectations to be

met. In order to be a great digital citizen, students must report any misuse of technology to an

adult and be kind to each other. The newsletter that is attached includes information on the topic,

Cyberbullying, as well as information for you to be involved in your child’s computer safety and

learning.

Adjunto a esta carta hay una copia de un boletín informativo que se les ha entregado a sus

estudiantes sobre el tema de nuestra clase de acoso cibernético. A medida que la tecnología se

convierte en una norma en las aulas de hoy, es importante comprender los conceptos básicos de

la seguridad en Internet y la intimidación para convertirse en grandes "ciudadanos digitales". Los

estudiantes usarán tabletas, computadoras, iPhones y iPads para completar actividades educativas

en el salón de clases y en el hogar. Como educadores y padres, queremos asegurarnos de que

nuestros estudiantes utilicen la tecnología de manera responsable, razonable y segura. Para

convertirse en un “ciudadano digital”, los estudiantes tienen ciertas expectativas que cumplir.

Para ser un gran ciudadano digital, los estudiantes deben informar cualquier uso indebido de la

tecnología a un adulto y ser amables entre sí. El boletín que se adjunta incluye información sobre

el tema, Ciberacoso, así como información para que usted participe en la seguridad y el

aprendizaje de la computadora de su hijo.
