2. PRESENTACIÓN
En esta metodología se dan de forma progresiva temas a partir de lo que llamamos un “nivel cero", o nivel
inicial. Esto es con el fin de que el aprendiz obtenga las herramientas más elementales de la lengua para
que haga uso de ella con naturalidad y de forma eficaz.
Los futuros tecnólogos deben estar claros que las posibilidades reales de inserción laboral están
determinadas, no sólo por los conocimientos, destrezas, habilidades y competencias adquiridas en su
formación profesional, sino también por el manejo de diversos idiomas, principalmente la lengua inglesa.
Por lo cual se requiere generar un espacio de contextualización y constante práctica del idioma inglés en
sus habilidades comunicativas como son la verbal y la escrita y en las receptivas como son la comprensión
de lectura y auditiva.
Para lograr lo anterior se desarrolla una guía de aprendizaje donde se exponen las actividades a llevar a
cabo con los técnicos en formación, con el fin de facilitar su proceso de aprendizaje autónomo y guiado.

5. GLOSARIO DE TÉRMINOS:
● Countable and uncountable nouns: Those that refer to something that can be counted. They have
both singular and plural forms.
● Food: · Any nourishing substance eaten or drunk to sustain life, provide energy, and promote
growth.
● Locations and directions: The line or course on which something is moving or is aimed to move or
along which something is pointing or facing
● Means of transportation: The various modes used for a movement. For each mode, there are
several means of transport. They are a. in land surface transportation (rail, road, and inland
waterway); b. sea transport (coastal and ocean); c. air transportation; and d.pipeline
● Paraphrase: To state something written or spoken in different words, esp. in a
shorter and simpler form to make the meaning clearer.
● Places in a country: Particular portion of space, places in a town or city refer to where people
usually go or live.
● Prepositions of place: A preposition of place is a preposition, which is used to refer to a place where
something or someone is located.
● Personal information (questions and answers): Recorded information about an identifiable
individual that may include his or her (1) name, address, email address, phone number, (2) race,
nationality, ethnicity, origin, color, religious or political beliefs or associations, (3) age, sex, sexual
orientation, marital status, family status, (4) identifying number, code, symbol, (5) fingerprints,
blood type, inherited characteristics, (6) health care history including information on

● Verb to be in affirmative, negative and interrogative form: The verb to be is the most irregular
verb in the English language. It is normally a linking verb showing existence or the condition of the
subject. It can also be used as an auxiliary verb when forming the passive voice.
● Weather: The state or condition of the atmosphere with respect to wind, temperature, moisture,
