Effect of mangiferin and its interaction with iron on the transition of mitochondrial
permeability
Los polifenoles naturales muestran un comportamiento complejo en relación con la TPM. Por
una parte pueden inducir este proceso, aspecto que se relaciona con sus mecanismos de
citotoxicidad, pero también lo inhiben, sobre todo cuando se asocia con un estrés oxidativo
provocado por la participación catalítica del hierro en la formación de especies reactivas de
oxígeno (ERO).
