Dubai's cuisine is much appreciated by travelers. The typical dishes are full of
aromas and flavors, between the meals are the hummus and the tabbouleh, and
between the desserts the Esh Asaraya and Le-ge-matt.
Dubai's cuisine includes many vegetables, red meats (except for pork whose
consumption is prohibited).
HUMMUS
Hummus is one of the most popular dishes in Dubai; It is a chickpea cream to
which olive oil, salt and sesame are added and which is taken cold. Generally
accompanied by snacks or pita bread.
TABBOULEH
The Tabbouleh, is a dish that is prepared with semolina, parsley, lettuce,
aromatic herbs, tomato, lemon and olive oil and that is usually very refreshing for
hot days.
LE-GE-MATT
The Le-ge-matt are exquisite donuts that are prepared with milk, salt, fried yogurt
and covered with honey. They are usually served with Arabic coffee or after lunch.
ESH ASARAYA
You should not leave Dubai without trying Esh Asaraya, an exquisite cheesecake
with cream; undoubtedly, it is the true delight of the sweet kitchen dubaití.
