El cctel Tequila Sunrise se cre en la dcada de los aos treinta del pasado siglo aunque
la gran popularidad de este cctel comenz cuando, Los Eagles, banda
de rock estadounidense formada en Los ngeles,California, incluy en su segundo lbum
Desperado, editado en 1973, una cancin muy popular titulada Tequila Sunrise dedicada
al cctel del mismo nombre. Segn la historia el cctel Tequila Sunrise fue creado en el
Hotel Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa de Phoenix entre los aos 1930 y 1940.

Un cliente que frecuentaba muy a menudo dicho Hotel y al que le encantaba el tequila
pregunt al barman Gene Sulit que si le poda preparar una bebida refrescante que
llevase tequila para poderla disfrutar en la piscina del Hotel. Gene Sulit le sorprendi con
una bebida a la que llam Tequila Sunrise por la forma de los colores del cctel preparado
que se asemejaban a la salida del sol. Este primer Tequila Sunrise fue preparado con
tequila, crema de cassis, jugo de limn y soda. Como ocurre con otros muchos ccteles,
la forma de preparar el Tequila Sunrise difiere mucho de la forma original del cctel
creado por el barman Gene Sulit, ya que los ingredientes utilizados en el original han sido
sustituidos por otros diferentes, por lo que el cctel actual incorpora tequila, zumo de
naranja y granadina.

HISTORY
History The cocktail Tequila Sunrise was created in the early thirties of the last century
though the popularity of this cocktail began when, The Eagles, American rock band formed
in Los Angeles, California, included on their second album Desperado, published in 1973 ,
a popular song titled "Tequila Sunrise" dedicated to the cocktail of the same name.
According to the story Tequila Sunrise cocktail was created at the Hotel Arizona Biltmore
Resort & Spa in Phoenix between 1930 and 1940. A customer who frequented very often
this hotel and who loved tequila Gene Sulit asked the bartender if he could prepare a
refreshing drink tequila so that it can carry enjoy the hotel pool. Gene Sulit surprised him
with a drink which he called Tequila Sunrise by the shape of the prepared cocktail colors
resembling sunrise. This first Tequila Sunrise was prepared with tequila, creme de cassis,
lemon juice and soda. As with many other cocktails, how to prepare the Tequila Sunrise
differ much from the original form of cocktails created by the barman Gene Sulit, since the
ingredients used in the original have been replaced by different ones, so the current
cocktail It includes tequila, orange juice and grenadine.
