¿Qué es arte abstracto?

Se llama arte abstracto o arte concreto a aquellas expresiones artísticas basadas en


elementos como la línea, el punto, el color y el material como lenguaje autosuficiente e
independiente de la reproducción de objetos reconocibles, es decir, del figurativismo.
La abstracción lírica abarca todos los estilos abstractos que utilizan elementos libres, sin
procesos estrictos de racionalización geométrica o matemática, es decir, sin reglas
predefinidas. En estos estilos prevalece la expresividad, la intuición y, con frecuencia, la
espontaneidad.
¿Qué es arte abstracto?
● la abstracción lírica como corriente deliberada tuvo su inicio hacia el año 1910 y su máximo
exponente fue Vasili Kandinsky. El pintor ruso se basó en el principio de composición armónica
del color, el punto y la línea sobre el plano como entes significantes, colindando con los
principios de la armonía musical.

Movimientos de la abstracción geométrica
En tanto corriente consciente y deliberada, la abstracción geométrica se inicia poco
después de la abstracción lírica, hacia el año 1914 aproximadamente. Bajo el
concepto de abstracción geométrica se pueden agrupar los siguientes movimientos:

Características del arte
abstracto
El arte abstracto se caracteriza por:

● Representar objetos y escenas alejadas de la realidad y de


la noción figurativa que se conoce a través de los
sentidos.
● Proponer una nueva realidad independiente de la
naturaleza y de la lógica.
● Representar la subjetividad y la espontaneidad del artista,
lo que provoca ambigüedad en la percepción del
receptor.
● Manifestar la consciencia y el subconsciente del artista, a
través del uso de las formas, líneas y colores de manera
espontánea e improvisada.
● Usar colores contrastantes, intensos, trazos que varían su
proporción y formas distorsionadas.
Origen del arte
abstracto
El origen del uso de la abstracción como modo de
manifestación artística tuvo sus primeras
manifestaciones entre 1875 y 1905 con el
movimiento postimpresionista surgido en Francia,
que rechazaba las limitaciones que suponía
el impresionismo e intentaba representar
emociones, por lo que dejaba de lado algunos
aspectos de la realidad figurativa.
El arte abstracto se evidenció en 1906 con las
primeras publicaciones de la artista sueca
Hilma af Klint (1862 - 1944). Es considerada la
pionera del arte abstracto debido a que realizó más
de mil obras antes que las publicadas por Wassily
Kandinsky (1866 - 1944), considerado durante
mucho tiempo como el precursor o “el padre” del
arte abstracto.
Principales artistas y
obras del arte
abstracto
Vasili Kandinsky
(Rusia, 1866-Francia,
1944)
Vasili Kandinsky (o Kandinski) fue un pintor, músico y
teórico del arte de origen ruso considerado precursor
del abstraccionismo lírico y figura influyente del
expresionismo, especialmente del grupo El jinete azul
(Der blauer Raiter). Fue autor de los libros De lo
espiritual en el arte y Punto y línea sobre el plano.
Algunas de obras más importantes fueron: El jinete azul (de
su etapa figurativa, 1909); Primera acuarela
abstracta (1910); Composición VIII (1923) y Amarillo,
rojo y azul (1925).

El Lissitzky (Rusia,
1890-1941)
Pintor, escultor, fotógrafo, ilustrador, diseñador, arquitecto,
publicista y editor de origen judío, con un pensamiento
revolucionario y progresista, razón por la cual colaboró
asiduamente con la revolución rusa. Creía en un arte que estuviera
al servicio de la sociedad. Fue un insigne representante del
constructivismo ruso. Incursiona en la arquitectura utópica. En sus
últimos años comenzó a sufrir la censura del gobierno, que veía
las vanguardias como una amenaza y prefería las controlables
líneas del realismo socialista.
Algunas obras destacadas fueron: Golpe a los blancos con la cuña
roja (cartel, 1920); Composición (1920); Hombre
nuevo (1923); Proun 99 (1924); ilustraciones para el libro Para la
voz, de Vladimir Mayakovsky (1920).

El Lissitzky: Proun 99, 1924, pintura soluble sobre


madera en agua y metalizada, 129 x 99 cm.
Kazimir Malevich
(Ucrania, 1879-Rusia,
1935)
Malevich fue pintor que incursionó en diferentes corrientes
como el cubofuturismo, antes de crear el movimiento
que le daría su definitiva proyección artística, conocido
como suprematismo. Fue acusado de espionaje al
servicio de los polacos, por lo que debió pasar tres
meses en prisión.
Entre sus obras más conocidas se puede mencionar El
afilador de cuchillos (de su etapa cubofuturista,
1912); Composición suprematista (1916); Cuadro
negro sobre fondo blanco (1915) y Blanco sobre
blanco (1918).

Piet Mondrian
(Países Bajos, 1872-
EE.UU. 1944)
Pintor vanguardista. Fundador del movimiento conocido como
neoplasticismo y miembro del grupo De Stijl. Antes del
neoplasticismo, incursionó en el arte tradicional, pasando por el
simbolismo de finales del siglo XIX.
Entre sus obras más conocidas podemos mencionar las
siguientes: Composición VII (1913); Composición en rojo,
amarillo, azul, blanco y negro (1921) y Composición en líneas,
segundo estado (1916-1917).

Jackson Pollock
(EE.UU. 1912-1956)
Pintor estadounidense. Máximo representante del
expresionismo abstracto y la pintura de
acción. Fue el creador de la
técnica dripping, que consiste en el
“chorreado” de la pintura, lo que le dio gran
notoriedad.
Entre sus obras más conocidas podemos
mencionar: La
loba (1943); Mural (1943); Uno (1950); Co
nvergencia (1952); Postes azules (1952).

1974) MÉXICO
Siqueiros es no solo uno de los mejores pintores abstractos
latinoamericanos, sino uno de los artistas abstractos más
reconocidos a nivel mundial. Influienciado por sus estancias en
Barcelona, París o la Italia del renacimiento, conoció a grandes
pintores con los cuales retroalimentó sus técnicas pictóricas
abstractas. En esta obra titulada «Flores si y no» el artista está
insinuando una obra abstracta y figurativa a la vez. Trasladando
al observador esta decisión y haciéndolo así partícipe de la
obra.
