• La PCR surgió en 1971 por Gobind Khorana
• Técnica mejorada por el Dr. Kary Mullis.
• Graduado en química en la Universidad de
Georgia Tech en 1966 y con un doctorado en
1973 por la Universidad de California en
Berkeley
• En 1979 se unió a la compañía de biotecnología
“CETUS”
• En 1983 trabaja en la síntesis de
oligonucleótidos y en el uso de iniciadores.
