1. Descripción
Ann Stoler,
Along the Archival Grain
El seminario Ficción, Archivos e Historia(s) desde abajo está diseñado para presentar a las y
los estudiantes una amplia variedad aproximaciones, métodos y problemas clave de esta
corriente historiográfica. Igualmente, busca explorar el papel de la imaginación en la
investigación y escritura histórica, así como las estrategias que historiadoras, periodistas,
antropólogas y literatos han empleado para abordar el pasado y para aproximarse a “el
archivo” de manera creativa. Así mismo, el seminario cuestionará cómo los historiadores han
retado la ausencia de “evidencia” en el archivo, y cómo han desafiado la inequidad, la
violencia y las relaciones de poder que lo atraviesan.
2. Objetivos específicos

§ Que las y los estudiantes sean capaces de valorar la utilidad de los marcos teóricos
y conceptuales ofrecidos por los/las autores/ras estudiados/as, de tal forma que
puedan emplearlos en beneficio de su propio trabajo histórico.
§ Que los estudiantes sean capaces de cuestionar los retos que implica el “archivo”
desde la perspectiva histórica y proponer estrategias para aproximarse al mismo.
§ Que las y los estudiantes cuestionen el lugar y la responsabilidad de los y las
historiadoras en el presente en función de los debates propuestos en clase.
3. Metodología
El curso está estructurado a manera de seminario lo que implica que la discusión de los
textos estará a cargo de las y los estudiantes. La labor de la profesora será guiar el debate
e incentivar la participación de todos y todas. Se espera que las y los estudiantes asistan
puntualmente a las sesiones y participen activamente de las discusiones, ya sea a través
de comentarios, preguntas, o críticas.
4. Evaluación

asignadas en la primera semana del semestre. Los y las estudiantes
deberán enviar la reseña a la profesora del curso a más tardar el
jueves a las 12:00 p.m. - vía Bloque Neón - antes de la discusión del
tema desarrollado en la misma. Los lineamientos de las reseñas los
pueden encontrar en la Guía para la elaboración reseñas críticas
disponible en Bloque Neón.
Ensayo final
Los lineamientos de la entrega del anteproyecto y del trabajo final 25%
están descritos en la Guía para la elaboración del ensayo final
disponible en Bloque Neón. Este deberá ser entregado en la semana
16.

§ Política de momentos difíciles: Todas las personas pueden pasar por un momento
difícil que de alguna manera pueda afectar nuestra vida en la Universidad. Pueden
ser problemas en casa, con la pareja, incluso estrés por esta u otra materia. Si algún
estudiante siente que está pasando por un momento complicado, sin importar el
motivo, siéntase con la tranquilidad de hablar con la profesora para pedir tiempo
o apoyo. Ningún trabajo o entrega puede sobrepasar la salud mental y física de los
estudiantes. Su bienestar es lo más importante.
