Introducción
El término "apócrifos" aparece
comúnmente en contextos religiosos
cristianos con respecto a los desacuerdos
sobre la canonicidad bíblica . Los escritos
apócrifos son una clase de documentos
rechazados por algunos como
pseudopigráficos o indignos de ser
llamados apropiadamente las Escrituras ,
sin embargo, como con otros escritos,
veces pueden ser referenciados para
recibir ayuda, como el libro perdido de
Jasher . Mientras que los escritos que
ahora son aceptados por los cristianos
como Escritura fueron reconocidos como
tales por varios creyentes desde el
principio, el establecimiento de un canon
uniforme en gran parte establecidofue un
proceso de siglos, y lo que el término
"canon" (así como "apócrifos")

elcanonmasoréticopara el Antiguo
Testamento, excluyendo los libros
apócrifos en su canon no vinculante como
indignos de ser llamados apropiadamente
las Escrituras, pero incluyó la mayoría de
ellos en una sección separada, según
Jerome. [6]Lutero no incluyó loslibros
deuterocanónicosen su Antiguo
Testamento, calificándolos de "apócrifos,
que son libros que no se consideran
iguales a las Sagradas Escrituras, pero son
útiles y buenos para leer". [7]
