REGLAMENTO GENERAL DE ESTUDIANTES DEL TIPO SUPERIOR, DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DEL
VALLE DE MÉXICO
Artículo 1. El presente Reglamento se emite en términos de lo dispuesto por el artículo 59 del
Estatuto General de la Universidad del Valle de México y tiene por objeto establecer las
relaciones de esta casa de estudios con sus aspirantes, estudiantes, egresados, del tipo superior
en todos sus niveles y modalidades en lo que concierne a la admisión, ingreso, reingreso,
permanencia, evaluación de los aprendizajes, derechos, obligaciones, su egreso y titulación.

DESCRIPCIÓN DEL CURSO

In this course the students must develop their speaking tasks using skills and strategies learnt over the
course to produce a presentation related to their daily life in a real situation.
The students need to use skills and language to produce a piece of academic written work with the
correct use of grammar.
The students will communicate confidently. They will develop integrated language skills with an
emphasis on spoken English through familiar topics, relevant grammar, and essential vocabulary.

Portafolio y Libro de clase:

En la fecha de examen parcial el alumno deberá entregar todos los ejercicios, tareas y
actividades realizadas durante el parcial en el bloc de notas. El bloc de notas será revisado por
la docente durante el parcial o días antes de período de evaluaciones. No se reciben trabajos
por atrasado.

*Los estudiantes con beca deben mantener la calificación mínima aprobatoria (7) para no perder su
beca o bajar su promedio.
*Es importante asistir a la retroalimentación de cada parcial para conocer la calificación, en
caso contrario, no se podrán solicitar aclaraciones.
*Asistencia mínima del 80% (2 faltas por parcial ó 6 en el semestre).
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THE CLASS.
● Students will have 10 minutes tolerance, enter in silence and get ready to participate in the class.
● Active participation is highly important for learning and improving at all the skills.
● You will have three partials; in each you will see 4 units of the book. 1, 2, 3, 4 for the first partial; 5, 6,
7, 8 for the second partial and 9, 10, 11 and 12 for the third partial.
● Classwork means students have to work on the book activities and extra exercises as portfolio entries
(in the BLOC de NOTAS) as well as active participation.
● Homework to be used or revised in class will be checked at the beginning of the class, some other
assignments will have a due date in the “assignments” section in TEAMS.
● Project: it will be the oral production and the written production: it is about a video students have to
do, explaining a specific topic the teacher will set before the exam. (further and more specific
instructions will be given by the teacher).
● Homework and projects have just one deadline. Delayed activities will not be received.
● Student’s books are a must. You will have one-two weeks limit time for getting them.

Basic Rules in the classroom

✓ Please be punctual, I take attendance during the first 20 minutes of the class, right after the break and 10
minutes before finishing the class.
✓ Be respective with students and teacher, be polite.
✓ Talk properly, be respectful and careful with what you say or write. You can be funny but never rude.
✓ Work in teams and be proactive.
✓ Try to turn your camera on to introduce yourself the first class, when you participate, to say “hi” or to say
“goodbye” every class.
✓ Yes, grammar and spelling matter. This is an educational and professional setting.
✓ Please don’t interrupt if someone is participating or the teacher is explaining something. If you want to
participate or make a comment, please raise your hand or write in the general channel chat.
✓ 80% percent of attendance. (2 absences per period)
✓ Be forgiving and patient. Some people really struggle with the use of technology, written and/or oral
communication.
✓ Stay on mute when you’re not talking.
✓ Send a private chat message to me if you have an emergency and/or if it’s really necessary to leave the
class.
✓ Participation in class is important, required participation is taken into account, it’s also good to contribute
to the class and help classmates orally and in the chat.
✓ It’s important to turn in assignments on time in order to get the 100% of the points.
