Que es?

El contrato de trabajo a término fijo es aquel en que las partes


pactan una duración cierta y limitada en el tiempo y que tiene
una duración máxima de 3 años pero que puede ser renovado
tantas veces como lo dispongan las partes.
Caracteristicas del contrato
Formalidad por escrito
El contrato de trabajo a término fijo debe constar siempre por escrito. Esto
implica que las condiciones laborales, la duración y otros aspectos relevantes
deben quedar documentados por escrito y ser aceptados por ambas partes.

Duracion maxima de tres años


La duración del contrato de trabajo a término fijo no puede exceder tres
años. Esto significa que el empleado y el empleador acuerdan una fecha de
finalización del contrato, la cual no debe sobrepasar dicho plazo.

Renovacion indefinida
A pesar de tener una duración máxima de tres años, este tipo de contrato es renovable
indefinidamente. Si ninguna de las partes avisa por escrito a la otra su decisión de no
prorrogar el contrato antes de la fecha de vencimiento del término estipulado, el
contrato se entenderá renovado automáticamente por un período igual al inicialmente
pactado. Este proceso de renovación automática puede continuar de manera sucesiva.

debe avisar por escrito a la otra parte con al
menos treinta (30) días de antelación antes de la
