Institución, Bachilleres Unidos por la Patria, en la modalidad Mixta. Y hoy quiero
darte la bienvenida con una hermosa frase del pensador y filósofo Aristóteles, a ti
que estás con un proyecto de vida en tus manos y que con seguridad lo vas a
lograr, “Lo que con mucho trabajo se adquiere, más se ama”. Deseamos que
todo tu esfuerzo tenga frutos y que nuestra institución sea una pieza fundamental
en lo que estás buscando, estamos seguros que sí lo vas a lograr y recuerda que
lo único que no lograrás será aquello que no intentes. Siempre estaremos para tus

CONOCIMIENTOS PREVIOS:

Pronombres: Los pronombres en inglés o pronouns son una de las claves para
demostrar el dominio del idioma ya que permiten hablar o escribir con fluidez. Su
principal función es sustituir al sujeto de una oración, por lo que sirven para
designar personas, animales o cosas. He – She – It – We – They – You – I

Verbos: Los verbos o Verbs son las palabras que se refieren a una acción, un
estado o un evento.

Sustantivos: Los sustantivos en inglés, o nouns, son palabras que se refieren a


personas, lugares, animales, ideas, cosas, eventos, sustancias o cualidades.

Adjetivos: Adjectives. Son elementos gramaticales que sirven para dar


características propias a personas, animales o cosas. Su función es ofrecer
información extra sobre el sustantivo de una oración.

¿Qué competencias lingüísticas posee una persona con un nivel de inglés A1? El
Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas MCERL define las
siguientes:

• Es capaz de comprender y utilizar expresiones cotidianas de uso muy


frecuente, así como frases sencillas destinadas a satisfacer
necesidades de tipo inmediato.
• Puede presentarse a sí mismo y a otros, pedir y dar información
personal básica sobre su domicilio, sus pertenencias y las personas
que conoce.
• Puede relacionarse de forma elemental siempre que su interlocutor
hable despacio y con claridad y esté dispuesto a cooperar.

GRAMMAR: For/since

The words for and since are used in sentences where the speaker wants to talk about

something that started in the past and continues into the present.

For is used when specifying the period of time of time (how long):

• I’ve had this watch for more than 40 years.


• I’ve only known her for a few weeks.
• He’s been here for 6 months and still can’t speak a word of German.
• She’s been smoking for a long time. No wonder she coughs so much!

Since is used when specifying the starting point:

• I’ve had this watch since 1965.


• I’ve only known her since the beginning of last week.
• He’s been here since April and he still can’t speak a word of German.
• She’s been smoking since she started grade 5. No wonder she coughs so much!
