10. Brief economic and political analysis of the country where the business is established
and reasons for why you brought your business there.
The United States is the most important country in the world and this is reflected socially and
economically, as its decision making influences the international market. By the year 2022,
the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will grow at an annual rate of 2.1%, one third of the
growth of 2021. This growth is mainly due to an increase in citizen spending, exports and
private investment and non-residential fixed investment (EFE, 2023). Through this
information an economic analysis is made where it is evident that the country after the
Covid-19 pandemic has improved being this important for microenterprises such as
Chococulture are thinking of establishing in the country as they see a constant improvement,
however the cost of living throughout the country has had a significant increase for
companies increased rental costs and raw materials. The political environment in the country,
for the year 2022 had repercussions due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine involving the United
States, as it implemented sanctions to Russia coordinated with NATO. However, this had
repercussions for the agro-industrial sector since the price of fertilizers from that region
increased, which affected companies that depend on agricultural products for their
production, as is our case. Likewise, it is known that the current political party is the
Democrat party and in the presidency of the same party is Joe Biden where his government
has had inflation and a possible recession, in addition to tensions with China and Iran. The
United States is a federal republic, with a representative democracy consisting of three
branches of government (Banco Santander, 2023). The reasons why they decided to establish
the business in New York City, is the increase of the economy, also being one of the cities
with more tourism and cultures from all over the world, which is why the company seeks to
meet the needs of buyers according to their ethnicity, customs or cultures from different
flavors of chocolates.
12. Brief analysis of the ethical conditions of the country/business and its relation with
the entire world. Describe alternative solutions for the problem.
The analysis of the ethical conditions of consumables production in New York and its
relationship to the world as a whole encompasses a number of ethical issues and concerns.
First, the mass production of consumables can result in a significant ecological footprint,
including natural resource depletion, pollution and climate change. We should consider
adopting sustainable practices, such as reducing carbon emissions, using renewable energy
and responsible waste management. Secondly, the production of consumables can be
associated with poor working conditions, low wages and exploitation of workers. We as a
company must ensure safe and fair working conditions for employees and respect
fundamental labor rights. Finally, the production of consumables in this company must
comply with quality and safety standards. Also, since we have consumers from various parts
of the world, especially Japan, the chocolate will be produced without dairy products due to
lactose intolerance.
13. It is very important to analyze the intercultural environment of your business, how
you will manage the intercultural relations, implications, etc.
The intercultural environment of the business allows reflecting different cultures to be a
company with empathetic sense, since it has the sense of taking into account all kinds of
people according to their country of origin, religion or customs. Through the different types
of chocolates, intercultural relations are managed, in addition to the fact that platforms such
as the translator will be used to establish communication with customers who do not speak
English or Spanish. These measures require an investment of different raw materials,
establishing communications, among others.
