SPEAKING EVALUATION

2nd Grade 1st trimester school year 2023-2024

Objective:
The speaking evaluation allows the students to develop different skills in
different areas personal, social and academically, mainly speaking/oral skills.
La evaluación oral permite que los alumnos desarrollen diferentes
habilidades en distintas áreas; social personal así como académicamente,
principalmente haciendo uso de habilidades orales.

Development:
Animal description “My favorite wild animal”
As main topic the students will choose and describe a wild animal, can be
from unit 3 or a different one. Students will mention where animals
live ,what they eat ,what they can do etc.The students will use vocabulary
animal body parts, animal foods etc. And the grammar from units 1 to 3
auxiliary can to talk about animal abilities in affirmative, negative or
interrogative form and short answers; as well as have/has got and simple
present.
The students can use a PowerPoint presentation or a cardboard with photos,
pictures etc. The students will explain it in front of the class.The presentation
must contain no less than 5 slides.NO TEXT only pictures to support the
students to explain .The design and material can be in the way that the
students choose for example in a collage you can use colors ,markers etc.
The PowerPoint presentation you can send it to me by e-mail
(brodriguezb@itea.edu.mx ) ,Whatsapp conversation or bring to school in a
USB
You can take the next example to create your presentation in power point or
in a cardboard.
Desarrollo:

Como tema principal los alumnos deben elegir un animal y realizar una
descripción sobre el mismo.Deberán incluir el vocabulario y la gramática
revisada durante el primer período unidad 1 a 3 como el auxiliar “can” en su
forma afirmativa, negativa e interrogativa así como respuestas cortas para
mencionar las habilidades del animal,el uso del have / has got para
mencionar características fisicas,el presente simple para hablar sobre donde
vive,lo que come, lo que le gusta así como algún dato curioso etc . El diseño y
material puede ser como el alumno lo decida utilizando su imaginación y
creatividad.
Los alumnos podrán realizar la presentación en diapositivas de Power Point o
en cartulina o material similar utilizando fotos, imágenes ,recortes, colores,
marcadores etc.
En caso de elegir presentación de PowerPoint podrán enviármela a mi correo
a través del whatsapp o incluso traerla a la escuela en memoria USB
Points to evaluate
1.-Speaking fluency /fluidez
2.-Volume of voice and security in front of the class/volumen de voz y
seguridad frente al grupo
3.-Information and Unit content as well as correct use of grammar and
vocabulary checked in Unit 1 to 3 / Information y contenido de unidades 1 a
la 3 Uso correcto de la gramática y vocabulario revisado en primer trimestre
4.-Design and creativity of the presentation /diseño y creatividad de la
presentación.
Las imágenes que los chicos incluyan en su material podrán servir como
apoyo al momento de presentar su tema recordando que sólo deben incluir
imágenes en su presentación a manera de exposición; la información la
pueden presentar incluyendo preguntas y respuestas , oraciones etc en
relación a las imágenes.
