CONCLUSION
To sum up, any type of planning will always be helpful as it is the tool for teachers that will
help them to set up the necessary actions to take in the teaching-learning process, besides
providing the context, such as the name of the school, students’ characteristics, and so on.
Teachers will be able to decide what type of planning to use according to his needs, thus can be a
specific unit, lesson, course, unit plan and lesson plan.
In my own experience, I dare say planning, especially lesson planning, has helped me to
organize my time, get everything ready before the class, prepare materials, set up goals and
objectives, which I always try to relate to the activities, I have even had the chance to set up
observations after finishing a class, so that I will be able to assess myself in order improve my
teaching practice every day. Moreover, it has provided me the enough confidence to perform
everything during my classes.
I have heard many teachers think planning is a hard and frustrating work, and I agree. However, I
also think it is essential to acknowledge time, activities and so on, to prevent possible problems and
provide a good class to make our students to acquire meaningful learning, which is, in the end the
reason why we have decided to be teachers.
