La Lingüística Aplicada es un campo de estudio interdisciplinario que investiga y ofrece soluciones a problemas relacionados
con el lenguaje, describe cómo se aprende, se enseña y se utiliza el lenguaje. Tiene como objetivo entender los fracasos en el
aprendizaje de una segunda lengua
La asignatura Applied Linguistic toma como base la teoría lingüística (fonología, morfología, semántica, etc.) y la lingüística
interdisciplinaria (psicolingüística, sociolingüística y demás) desarrollando modelos teóricos del lenguaje y el uso del lenguaje, y
luego usa esta información y teoría en áreas prácticas como el diseño de planes de estudio, planificación del lenguaje,
aportando al perfil del profesional de la carrera de Pedagogía de los idiomas Nacionales y Extranjeros al determinar y atender
los errores de tipo lingüístico de sus estudiantes en la adquisición y enseñanza de un segundo idioma.
Esta asignatura se desarrolla mediante cuatro unidades académicas incluyendo temas como: El lenguaje y el cerebro, la
adquisición del primer y segundo idioma, las variaciones del lenguaje y la implicación de la lingüística aplicada en el currículo y
plan de lección.
Los contenidos y competencias de esta asignatura serán desarrollados mediante una gama de estrategias interactivas,
individuales y colaborativas de enseñanza-aprendizaje basadas en horizontes epistemológicos del constructivismo, el
cognitivismo, la conectividad, entre otros. Entre las estrategias aplicadas según el escenario de actuación, son: a) En contacto
con el profesor o presencial, mediante: clase teórica, magistral, expositiva, explicativa y demostrativa de contenidos, clases
prácticas, basados en aprendizaje colaborativo, aprendizaje cooperativo, aprendizaje invertidos, aprendizaje adaptativo con o
sin discapacidad; así como, aprendizaje basado en la investigación (ABI), investigación abierta, proyectos formativos,
seminarios, talleres; y, tutorías individuales y grupales.
El progreso y el nivel alcanzado por cada alumno serán evaluados de forma progresiva, formativa y sumativa, con escalas de
calificación cualitativas y cuantitativas, utilizando instrumentos que miden objetivamente el alcance de los objetivos de
aprendizaje establecidos, mayor detalle se proporciona en la sección 7 de este plan analítico.

• Acreditar el mínimo de asistencia según la modalidad de estudios, por tanto, no se concederá puntaje adicional, si el estudiante
no cumple con el porcentaje requerido no podrá presentarse a examen.
• Presentar puntualidad en la toma del examen final presencial; no ingresar con dispositivos de comunicación alguno, caso
contrario, los estudiantes deberán abandonar el aula y perderán la calificación del examen.
• Por ningún concepto será calificado un examen en el que el profesor observe acciones de copia de algún estudiante por
cualquier medio o forma, automáticamente quedará anulado el examen, obteniendo una calificación de cero.

Todos los actores del proceso de formación académica, deberán:
• Cumplir y hacer cumplir lo establecido en el Código de Ética institucional.
• Hacer uso ético de las tecnologías, recursos de aprendizaje y entornos virtuales de aprendizaje en tiempo real o diferido, en
función de la interacción educativa exclusiva del profesor y estudiante.
• Acceder a aplicaciones, páginas o recursos en la internet, ajenos al contenido de la asignatura.
• Usar lenguaje apropiado con rigurosidad académica el desarrollo de los foros, debates y demás participaciones activas,
respetando la argumentación de todos los participantes.
• Evitar tomar información en contenidos académicos sin la debida referencia de los autores.
