Si la presión sobre el suelo es disminuida, la flotabilidad

incrementara.

1) Mantenga la presión lo más bajo posible

2) Use los neumáticos más anchos posible

3) Si la carga es constante, incremente el ancho y el largo del

neumático en contacto con el suelo

4) Use un neumático de base ancha

5) Reduzca la carga en la maquina

Aumente la tracción haciendo lo siguiente.

1) Incremente la carga de la maquina

2) Use una superficie de rodamiento que “muerda” el suelo

3) Use un neumático con diámetro grande y evite patinar las ruedas

4) A la hora de seleccionar la ruta en que viajara la maquina tome

en consideración las características del suelo

Neumáticos para suelo suave.

1) Incremente la presión de los neumáticos…… esto reduce el área

de contacto con el suelo, minimizando la resistencia

2) Use un neumático con diámetro grande y evite patinar las ruedas

3) Reduzca la carga

Neumáticos con base Ancha.

La base ancha se utiliza para mejorar la flotabilidad y tracción para

que la maquina opere fácilmente sobre terreno suave o suelto

Neumáticos con Balastro Contienen un líquido o peso sólido que

actúa como un peso extra para la máquina. Esto es parte de un
principio que dice que la estabilidad y tracción de una maquina
pueden ser mejoradas al incrementar el peso de la maquina
Consiste de una solución de agua que contiene Cloruro de Sodio
(CaCl2 ), el cual desplaza el 75% del aire en el neumático. Tiene las
siguientes características:

• La gravedad especifica es de 1.5, incrementando

significativamente la tracción

• No daña el caucho

1) Keep the pressure as low as possible

2) Use the widest possible tires

3) If the load is constant, increase the width and length of the tire in
contact with the ground

4) Use a wide base tire

5) Reduce the load on the machine

Increase traction by doing the following.

1) Increase the load of the machine

2) Use a running surface that “bites into” the ground

3) Use a large diameter tire and avoid skidding the wheels

4) When selecting the route in which the machine will travel, take
into consideration the characteristics of the soil

Tires for soft ground.

1) Increase the tire pressure …… this reduces the area of contact

with the ground, minimizing resistance

The wide base is used to improve buoyancy and traction so the

machine operates easily on soft or loose terrain.

Ballasted Tires Contain a liquid or solid weight that acts as an extra

weight for the machine. This is part of a principle that says that the
stability and traction of a machine can be improved by increasing the
weight of the machine.
It consists of a water solution containing Sodium Chloride (CaCl2),
which displaces 75% of the air in the tire. It has the following
characteristics:

• Specific gravity is 1.5, significantly increasing traction

• Does not damage rubber
