1. Hamburguesa
Una hamburguesa es un alimento en forma de la de bocadillo hecho a base de
carne picada aglutinada en forma de filete, cocinado a la parrilla o a la plancha,
aunque también puede freírse u hornearse
A pesar de ser uno de los alimentos más icónicos de los Estados Unidos de
American, no debemos olvidar que la Hamburguesa tiene sus orígenes en
Hamburgo, segunda ciudad de Alemania.
Este alimento llego a los Estados Unidos gracias a los inmigrantes en la segunda
mitad del siglo diecinueve.
Puede decirse que el término “fast food” o comida rápida, inicio con la
hamburguesa gracias a su fácil preparación y consumo masivo.

2. Hot Dog
Es un alimento en forma de bocadillo que se genera con la combinación de una
salchicha hervida, o frita, servida en un pan con forma alargada que suele
acompañarse con algún aderezo como salsa de tomate y mostaza.
Los perritos calientes se elaboraban en diversas partes de Europa antes de que
los inmigrantes europeos (en especial de origen alemán) los llevaran a Estados
Unidos y se convirtiera en una comida callejera muy popular entre la clase media.
En Nueva York se abrió paso en la primera década del siglo XIX gracias a la
contribución de varios carniceros europeos que se dedicaron a 'replicar' la
salchicha en el nuevo continente. Al parecer, el carnicero alemán Charles Feltman
fue el primero en vender perritos calientes en unos carritos en las playas de Coney
Island (Cerca de Nueva York) en 1867. El éxito de ventas que tuvo hizo que su
carrito cobrara un mayor tamaño y que finalmente se incorporaran diversos
camareros en él.

3. Donas
Una dona también llamada rosquilla, es un o rosco de pan dulce que
tradicionalmente está frito en grasa de cerdo.
Los orígenes de las donas se disputan. Unos historiadores afirman que sus
precursores se pueden encontrar entre la gente medieval del norte de Europa;
pero la forma popular que se asocia hoy en día con el término doughnut se realizó
por primera vez en 1847, cuando un marinero llamado Hanson Gregory, hiciera el
famoso agujero con la tapa de un pimentero de un barco, para solucionar el
problema de que la masa no se friera bien en el centro. Se considera
generalmente que el origen del dónut viene del dulce navideño holandés oliebollen
(bolas de aceite), que éstos trajeron a Nueva Ámsterdam (futura Nueva York) en el
siglo XVI. En los siglos siguientes evolucionó hacia el dónut que hoy en día se
conoce.

1. Hamburger

2. Hot Dog

(especially of German origin) brought them to the United States and became a
popular street food among the middle class. In New York he made his way in the
first decade of the 19th century thanks to the contribution of several European
butchers who were dedicated to 'replicating' the sausage in the new continent.
Apparently, the German butcher Charles Feltman was the first to sell hot dogs in
some carts on the beaches of Coney Island (near New York) in 1867. The sales

incorporated into it.

3. Donuts
A donut is also a sweet bread roll that is traditionally fried in pork fat.
The origins of the donuts are disputed. Some historians claim that their
predecessors can be found among the medieval people of northern Europe; but
the popular form that is associated nowadays with the term donut was made for the
first time in 1847, when a sailor named Hanson Gregory, made the famous hole
with the lid of a boat's pepper shaker, to solve the problem that the dough does not
fry well in the center. It is generally considered that the origin of the donut comes
from the Dutch Christmas candy oliebollen (oil balls), which they brought to New
Amsterdam (future New York) in the sixteenth century. In the following centuries it
evolved towards the donut that is known today.
