Necesidad de una representación de las intenciones comunicativas que debe cumplir una
presentación
RST es una de las formas más elaboradas y ampliamente usada para el análisis de las
intenciones comunicativas y se ha aplicado a una amplia variedad de textos y se ha aplicado a
la presentación multimodal de la información (Andre & Rist 1993)
Teoría funcional en que los segmentos relacionados son más funcionales que estructurales,
es decir, una relación retórica no necesita tener ninguna especificación gramatical o léxica
Las estructuras retóricas representan un plan para lograr algún objetivo a través de los
medios lingüísticos.
