FINISHING (MAKING UP)
Baste the pieces tog with right sides facing and
carefully block (press).
The whole garment is sewn using side seams
(see basic instructions).
Sew right shoulder.
Collar: Using size 9 needles and beige pick up
all the sts around the neckline, increasing or
decreasing where necessary on the 1st row in
order to obtain a total of –a) 72 –b) 76 –c) 80
–d) 84 sts. Work in 1x1 ribbing.
When collar measures 1 1/8” (3 cm), bind (cast
off) all sts.
Sew the left shoulder and collar seam.
Attach sleeves = match centre of sleeve head to
shoulder seam and edges of sleeve head to start
of armhole shaping. Sew (taking care to make
sure that the stripe st matches).
With the garment laid out flat, carefully block
(press) the recently sewn seams.
