ORDINAL NUMBERS
Hello guy! I hope you be fine! Remember, you’ve to know cardinals numbers before this
class.
Ordinals numbers’re used to put general order something, ex: dates, or when your teacher
puts your classmates in single line before class.
Generally, u’ve to put “th” at the end of cardinal number. Let’s see a little example with
number 4:
• Cardinal: four
• Ordinal: fourth
do u see? it’s a piece of cake!! But don’t take fly yet little cowboy ‘cuz you’ve to considerate
that there’re some exceptions, so u’ve to take care for:
1: one 1st: first
2: two
2nd: second
3: three 3rd: third
12: twelve 12th: twelfth
When numbers end in 0, one replaces TY with
IETH… some examples:
60: sixty
60th: sixtieh
80: eighty
80th: eightieh
Finally, there’re other kind of numbers, like this:
42: fortytwo (40 forty + 2 two), but for ordinal numbers, you say:
CARDINAL + ORDINAL
42nd: forty-second
(40 forty [cardinal] 2 second [ordinal])

So, let’s practice easy questions to work with ordinal numbers (PAY ATTENTION)
Actividad 1 – Estudiar
Aprender los números cardinales (no los ordinales), mediante el repaso de la tabla de
multiplicar del 1 al 10 en inglés.
Por (x), en matemáticas se dice “time”, ejemplo:
3 x 7 = 21
trhee times seven is twenty one tres por siete es veintiuno
Hágalo por caligrafía (en números y en letras) o por simple memorización, pero recuerde
que de esto preguntare en clase de forma oral y escrita.
• Los números deben escribirse en numeral y literal, ejemplo: 4th (fourth). Tanto
cardinales como ordinales según el caso.
• Sr. representante: si usted utiliza el traductor de google u otro similar para resolver
este ejercicio… NO ESTÁ HACIENDO NADA… enseñe a su representado a trabajar con un
diccionario. Lo dejo a su conciencia: “los estudiantes que hoy se copian, son los
profesionales deshonestos del mañana y de ellos surge la corrupción destructora de todas
las naciones”.

15. pasado mañana no es 30 de mayo, es 1 junio
