VOCABULARIO
Main character, author, title, setting, cover, back, etc.
Feelings: happy, sad, angry, excited, surprised, etc.
SECUENCIA DE ACTIVIDADES
INICIO:
 Mostrar imágenes de caras mostrando diferentes emociones. Ejemplo:
happy, sad, surprised, angry, scared, etc. (Imágenes al final del
documento)
 Preguntar cómo se sienten (How do you feel?). Modelar respuestas.
Ejemplo: I feel happy (mostrar una gran sonrisa), I feel sad (poner una
cara triste), etc.
DESARROLLO:
 Escribir vocabulario del cuento que van a leer. Ejemplo: lazy, straw, sticks,
bricks, pig, wolf, etc.
 Con la ayuda de imágenes aclarar el significado de las palabras. (Imágenes
al final del documento)
 Preguntar de qué cuento creen que se trata. “The Three Little Pigs”

Día #1
 Hacer preguntas de la primer parte del cuento como: Are the Three Little
Pigs happy or sad?, Is the Wolf angry or hungry?, etc.
 Responder preguntas sobre el cuento. Ejemplo: How many characters are
there?, where are they?, what is the problem?, who is the author?, etc.
 Escribir oraciones del cuento. Ejemplo:
1. The first little pig was lazy.
2. They sang, danced, and played together.
3. The third little pig worked hard all day.
4. I’ll huff and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house down.
 Revisar las oraciones e identificar vocabulario conocido. Buscar las palabras
desconocidas.
CIERRE:
 Identificar emociones que aparezcan en el cuento.
 Escribir una lista en la libreta.
Día #2 INICIO:
 Escuchar una canción del cuento “The Three Little Pigs”. Canción sugerida:
“Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf?”.

 Escuchar y entonar partes de la canción.
DESARROLLO:
 Leer la segunda parte del cuento (en la casa de ladrillos).
 Identificar el inicio, desarrollo y cierre del cuento.
 Recortar y pegar imágenes del cuento en orden cronológico. (Activity #1 al
final del documento)
 Recortar y pegar oraciones que tengan relación con las imágenes. (Activity
#1)
• Señalar e identificar expresiones como: once upon a time, the end, they
lived happily ever after.
• Explicar que esas oraciones se encuentran al inicio y al final de los cuentos.
Preguntar cuáles expresiones se usan en español. Respuestas esperadas:
había una vez, fin, vivieron felices para siempre, etc.
CIERRE:
 Leer oraciones sobre las emociones que aparecen en el cuento. Ejemplo:
a. The first little pig was lazy.
b. The three little pigs were afraid.
c. The wolf was hungry.
d. The third little pig was brave.
INICIO:
 Jugar ahorcado para descubrir vocabulario del cuento de los tres
cochinitos.
DESARROLLO:
 Leer el cuento de los tres cochinitos.

 Completar oraciones del cuento usando un banco de palabras. Ejemplo:
a. Once upon a time there was an old mother pig who had three little
pigs.
Día #3 b. The first little pig was very lazy.
c. The second little pig worked a little bit harder.
d. They sang and danced and played together the rest of the day.
e. The third little pig worked hard all day and built his house out of
bricks.
 Señalar que las oraciones están en tiempo pasado.
 Escribir los verbos en presente con su significado en español.
CIERRE:
 Leer las oraciones en voz alta.
 Elegir una y realizar un dibujo.

 Revisar y repasar los verbos de la clase anterior.
DESARROLLO:
 Unir partes de palabras para descubrir el glosario del nuevo cuento que
van a leer. Ejemplo: flo – wer, wi – sh, fr – og, mo – le, bi – rd, etc.
 Escribir el título del cuento “ Thumbelina”, preguntar si conocen el nombre
en español o si saben de qué cuento se trata.

 Leer el cuento.
 Contestar preguntas como: What is the title?, Who is the main character?,
Who is the author?, How many characters are there?, Where does the

 Repasar los nombres de los personajes del cuento Thumbelina.
 Escribir una lista de vocabulario del cuento en el pizarrón y preguntar su
significado.

DESARROLLO:
 Leer oraciones del cuento como repaso e identificación de emociones.
Ejemplo:
a. The old lady was sad and alone.
b. The lady was tired.
c. The old lady was happy when she got Thumbelina.

 Leer nuevamente el cuento de Thumbelina.
