RESUMEN
Las facomatosis son un grupo de enfermedades hereditarias que se caracterizan
por la aparición de manchas, tumefacciones, quistes y hamartomas a partir de
células no diferenciadas. Estas surgen de anomalías del desarrollo embrionario y
en su mayoría son autosómicas dominantes. Se clasifican en dos grupos, las de
origen neuroectodérmico y las de origen mesodérmico. En el primer grupo se
encuentra la neurofibromatosis tipo I, II y la esclerosis tuberosa; en el segundo
grupo se encuentran la enfermedad de Stuger-Weber y enfermedad de Von
Hippel-Lindau. De igual forma existe la facomatosis pigmentovascularis que es
menos frecuente y poco estudiada. Las manifestaciones en el sistema visual
presentes en estas entidades patológicas son variadas y muy diversas, pero en
algunas han sido bien establecidas a lo largo de los años, pero se ha visto en
publicaciones recientes expresión de signos y síntomas oculares no descritos
antes dentro de estas enfermedades, algunas en las que se sigue investigando la
descripción de estas expresiones semiológicas.

SUMARY
Phakomatosis are a group of hereditary diseases characterized by the appearance
of spots, tumefactions, cysts and hamartomas from undifferentiated cells. These
arise from abnormalities of embryonic development and are mostly autosomal
dominant. They are classified into two groups, those of neuroectodermal origin and
those of mesodermal origin. The first group includes neurofibromatosis type I, II
and tuberous sclerosis; the second group includes Stuger-Weber disease and Von
Hippel-Lindau disease. Similarly, there is the pigmentovascularis phakomatosis
that is less frequent and poorly studied. The manifestations in the visual system
present in these pathological entities are varied and very diverse, but in some have
been well established over the years but has been seen in recent publications
expression of eye signs and symptoms not described before within these diseases,
some in which the description of these semiological expressions is still being
investigated.
