Resumen
For various problems in Mathematical Analysis, the regularity of the functions under
which we are working is always studied and it is in this context that the continuity and
discontinuity of the functions are studied. Taking into consideration that if a function f is
discontinuous in x0 ∈ Dom(f ) immediately this function is not dierentiable at that point
it is at this point that we begin to study the functions sectionally continuous since these
are in a certain way they allow us to overcome this limitation and extend the concept of
dierentiability. We can thus relate the sectionally continuous functions in some dierential
equation problems where the Laplace Transform allows the solution of the E.D.O. it is in
these particular cases where the solution is itself a sectionally continuous function.
