OBJETIVOS GENERALES

 Mejorar la expresión oral y escrita a través de la

profundización en la adquisición de vocabulario técnico tanto en lengua
materna como en inglés.
 Analizar y reflexionar sobre diferentes conceptos
relacionados con la carrera.
 Lograr que el alumno relacione los conocimientos
adquiridos con las otras materias de su plan de estudio.
 Visualizar el lenguaje en forma global, pudiendo ser
parcializado con el propósito de estudiarlo sistemáticamente, pero sin
perder la visión del conjunto.

 Desarrollar una competencia de lecto-comprensión en la

lengua extranjera.

2. Read the following text. Desarrollo de Software: what is

it about?

Software, instructions that tell a computer what to do. Software

comprises the entire set of programs, procedures, and routines
associated with the operation of a computer system. The term was
coined to differentiate these instructions from hardware—i.e., the
physical components of a computer system. A set of instructions that
directs a computer’s hardware to perform a task is called a program,
or software program.

Software development is the process of conceiving,

specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug
fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications or other
software components.

A software developer is a company or person that creates

software - either completely, or with other companies or people.
