Objetivo General
Desarrollar en los estudiantes las competencias comunicativas en lengua extranjera (inglés) que
faciliten las prácticas de comprensión, expresión oral, interacción, interpretación de textos o
discursos y los intercambios culturales relacionados con los saberes académicos específicos de los
estudiantes. Todo ello de manera que sean reales y efectivas la traducción, la interpretación
simultánea, la redacción, la lectura comprensiva y la conversación fluida y con abundante vocabulario.
Objetivos específicos
Propiciar estrategias metodológicas que promuevan la comunicación real o el intercambio
de significados considerando el contexto, la situación, el propósito y la audiencia del evento
comunicativo.
Desarrollar habilidades de investigación y trabajo colaborativo a través de los contenidos
académicos y los proyectos de aula trabajados en los cursos.
Favorecer el acceso a los textos académicos desarrollando habilidades de lectura y escritura
como la clasificación, síntesis y análisis de la información.
c) PERFIL PROFESIONAL
Conocer el desarrollo cognitivo, psico-social y lingüístico del aprendiz de las lenguas extranjeras
integrando su componente cultural (competencia socio-afectiva).
Interpretar diferentes tipos de textos escritos auténticos en lengua inglesa y responder en forma
crítica.
Utilizar los conocimientos sobre rasgos culturales para la comunicación intercultural con
hablantes de diversas lenguas.
