● El bocashi esBOCASHI
un abono orgánico resultado de un
proceso de fermentación donde se utilizan mezclas de
diferentes materiales o residuos orgánicos en
determinadas proporciones, y se le añaden ciertos
aditivos que aceleran el proceso de descomposición. El
bocashi es de origen japonés que se produce en un
tiempo más corto que el compost. La palabra bocashi
significa “abono fermentado” en japonés, aunque en la
mayoría de las ocasiones el bocashi se produce en un
proceso aeróbico y a través de la fermentación.
 PARA QUE SE
USA
Para suministrar los nutrientes necesarios y
adecuados al suelo, donde son absorbidos por
las raíces de los cultivos para su normal
desarrollo.
Se debe utilizar la mayor diversidad posible de
materiales, para garantizar un mayor equilibrio
nutricional del abono.
 INGREDIENTES
Los siguientes materiales hacen referencia a
aquellos empleados tradicionalmente en la
fabricación del bokashi.

a diferentes regiones y circunstancias.

 TRES FORMAS DE HACER ABONO BOCASHI
La elaboración de este tipo de abono, dependerá
del lugar y tipo de terreno donde va a ser
empleado, de los materiales disponibles en la
zona, y de los cultivos que serán fertilizados. Se
deben usar materiales altos en fibra, para poder
así mantener los suelos más sueltos, lo que nos
va a ayudar a obtener mejor infiltración de las
aguas y del aire, con este tipo de materiales
también buscamos que los abonos sean ricos en
carbono y bajos en nitrógeno.
 FORMA (A)
-Se van apilando, humedeciendo e inoculando (con EMA o levadura + melaza) los
ingredientes (orgánicos y minerales) a medida que van llegando.
-Se homogeneiza la mezcla agregando agua hasta obtener la humedad recomendada (50
a 60 %).
-Finalmente se extiende la mezcla formando eras de 1 a 1,50 m de ancho por de 0,50 m
de alto.
Forma (B)
-Se mezclan todos los ingredientes en seco y en una última volteada se agrega el agua a
toda la masa hasta obtener la humedad adecuada al mismo tiempo que se hace una
inoculación (con EMA o levadura + melaza).
-Para concluir el proceso de fabricación se extiende la mezcla formando eras de 1 a 1,50
m de ancho por 0,50 m de alto.

Forma (C)
-Se subdividen todos los ingredientes en proporciones iguales en 2
o 3 montones para facilitar su mezcla.
-Se procede a su humidificación e inoculación.
Al final se juntan todos los montones formando una sola masa
uniforme que luego se extenderá en el piso como en los casos
anteriores.
