¿Qué es ansiedad?

La ansiedad se presenta en forma de preocupación y miedos


intensos continuos ante situaciones cotidianas. La ansiedad se
produce a raíz del miedo a que no haya medios de escape o ayuda
accesibles si se intensifica la ansiedad. (Clinic, 2017)

Qué es
“AGORAFOBIA”?
La agorafobia es un tipo de trastorno de ansiedad en el que las personas
tienen miedo a los lugares o las situaciones que podrían causar pánico y
hacerle sentir atrapado, indefenso o avergonzado, por lo que evita este
tipo de lugares o situaciones. Le teme a una situación real o anticipada,
como usar el transporte público, estar en espacios abiertos o cerrados,
hacer una fila o estar en una multitud. Las personas con agorafobia
tienen dificultad para sentirse seguras en un lugar público, especialmente
donde se reúnen multitudes. (Clinic, 2017)
Síntomas:
* El síntoma que presenta es el miedo, que va desencadenando otros síntomas
como, MIEDO A:

Por lo general las personas que padecen agorafobia
desarrollan pánico y presentan los siguientes
síntomas:

• Problemas para respirar


• Dolor y presión en el pecho
• Mareos
• Sensibilidad de inestabilidad, atumecimiento u
hormigueo
• Sudoración excesiva
• Malestar estomacal, diarrea
• Enrojecimiento o escalofríos repentinos
• Miedo a morir
CAUSAS:
o Biológico – Genética
o El temperamento
o Estés
o Ansiedad
o Experiencias traumáticas que
influyan el desarrollar la agorafobia.
Cuándo aparece la
agorafobia?
o Niñez
o Adolescencia
o Adultes
o Por lo general antes de los 35 años
o Vejez
o A los mujeres se les diagnostica
agorafobia un poco mas frecuente que a
los hombres.
Factores de Riesgo:
o Tener trastorno de pánico u otras fobias
o Responder a los ataques de pánico con
miedo excesivo o evasión
o Atravesar sucesos estresantes en la vida,
tales como el maltrato, la muerte de un
padre o un ataque
o Tener un temperamento ansioso o nervioso
o Tener un familiar consanguíneo con
agorafobia
Dependiendo del grado de

puede tener algunas
complicaciones como:
