WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

Cuando alguien pregunta "where are you from?" no solamente se está refiriendo de qué país
somos, también puede estar preguntando por la ciudad, estado o cualquier zona geográfica
de la que venimos.

Se puede responder de dos maneras:

- Diciendo del país (country), estado (state), ciudad (city)...que eres.

I'm from Spain.= Soy de España.

I'm from New York. = Soy de Nueva York.
I'm from the East Coast. = Soy de la Costa Este.

- Diciendo tu nacionalidad (nationality).

What is your nationality? ¿Cuál es tu nacionalidad?

I'm Spanish. = Soy español.

A diferencia del español, la inicial de las nacionalidades en inglés se escribe con mayúscula.
Soy francés = I'm French.

Observa el siguiente ejemplo:

Claudio Pizarro is from Peru.

He’s from Peru.
He´s Peruvian.

Laura Pausini is from Italy.

She’s from Italy
She’s is italian

pueden clasificar en 6 grupos, las que acaban en –ish, -an, -ian, -ese, -ean y otras que son
irregulares.
