Resumen
Abstract
The objective of this paper is to highlight the growing role of psychology in economic
theory, where from the cognitive decisions of agents the theory of profits associated
with the rational behavior of homus economicus is studied, developing the
"behavioral economy ”(Behavioral economics), from which psychology has been
distanced in its study, aligning itself more with the marketing behavior that emerges
from business administration than from the scientific formalization of what our
behavior is made up of, associated with economic and conduct as a consuming
agent. After obtaining the Nobel Prize by the psychologist Daniel Kahneman in 2002,
the article advances in the relationship between Psychology and Economics until
obtaining another Nobel Prize in 2017 obtained by a student of Psychology and its
application to the field. of economics In that year, Richard Thaler, professor of
economics and behavioral psychology at the University of Chicago received the
Nobel Prize for his work associated with demonstrating that decisions do not always
obey rational criteria, but instead consider psychological variables that deviate them
from a behavior that is supposed to be economic rational
