COURSE INFORMATION

SUBJECT: PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY

DEFINITION: THEORETICAL-PRACTICAL
ACADEMY UNIT: FCNM
CODE: QUIG1034
WORKLOAD: 3 HOURS WEEK

2. OBJECTIVES

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

Analyze the thermodynamic principles of systems in solution and in equilibrium, for the
resolution process-related problems by integrating physico chemical and mathematical
concepts.

3. LEARNING OUTCOMES

• Interpret chemical processes from the macroscopic perspective of

thermodynamics for their application in case studies.

• Use the thermodynamic laws applicable to each physico chemical system for the
validation of the solutions proposed in the case studies.

• Use the criteria of equilibrium and spontaneity to predict physical changes and
chemicals.

• Demonstrate the thermodynamic principles associated with gases, solutions, and

equilibrium in chemical reactions through experimentation, interpretation, and
data analysis.
4. STUDENTS OUTCOME

• FORMATION

• MEASUREMENT

6. an ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw
conclusions
