2. Descripción de la asignatura
La enseñanza - aprendizaje del idioma Inglés como lengua extranjera, en Nivel – A1, se alinea con
el modelo establecido por el Marco Común Europeo en el desarrollo de las destrezas receptivas y
productivas, mediante las cuales los estudiantes se expresan en forma oral y escrita utilizando
estructuras básicas, vocabulario y expresiones que le permitan presentarse y presentar a los
demás, formular y contestar preguntas sobre información personal, su vida cotidiana, su niñez, su
familia y personas que conoce, lugares y comida. Además, el estudiante lee, escucha y comprende
textos y diálogos sencillos. Estos aprendizajes se desarrollarán a través del modelo Blended
Learning que combina el e-learning (encuentros asincrónicos) con encuentros presenciales
(sincrónicos) tomando las ventajas de los dos tipos de aprendizaje. La aplicación de los nuevos
modelos pedagógicos ayudados por los recursos tecnológicos como: entornos virtuales de
aprendizaje, recursos multimedia, herramientas de comunicación virtual, video conferencias,
webinars, documentos y manuales, etc. que puedan ser descargados o utilizados en una educación
más allá de las aulas, estos permiten un aprendizaje personalizado en base a un trabajo por
competencias, estableciendo el vínculo con el área de especialización a través de textos y
actividades apropiadas.
3. Objetivos específicos de la asignatura
1. Producir diálogos relacionados con el tema de la unidad o clase acorde a las necesidades,
intereses y niveles lingüísticos alcanzados por los estudiantes.
2. Organizar las funciones comunicativas de acuerdo a los propósitos específicos, mediante
sistematización lingüística funcional.
3. Analizar de forma práctica y productiva la información obtenida mediante el uso de textos
orales y escritos.
4. Fomentar un pensamiento lógico mediante los procesos de análisis y síntesis.
5. Demostrar hábitos de trabajo independiente en la búsqueda de información e
investigación de temas relacionados con los temas desarrollados en clase.
6. Relacionar el conocimiento de la lengua materna como resultado del desarrollo de las
habilidades intrínsecas en el contexto que se ejercitan.
7. Utilizar apropiadamente los recursos tecnológicos en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje
del inglés.

1. Trabaja en equipo para alcanzar un determinado objetivo, acorde con un determinado

proyecto o actividad.
2. Aprende a aprender a lo largo de toda la vida, identificando y reconociendo las
oportunidades de aprendizaje, para estar en sintonía con los retos personales,
ambientales, sociales y económicos.
3. Se comunica de forma oral, escrita y asertiva en distintos contextos para apropiarse de
la información, utilizando la tecnología y las diferentes modalidades de comunicación.
4. Emprende proyectos para identificar, plantear y resolver problemas sociales y

contexto.

9. Conducta y comportamiento ético

Los estudiantes deben cumplir con todas las normas establecidas en el Reglamento del Alumno de
la UEB. Demostrar puntualidad, asistencia regular a clase y participación activa en todas las
actividades académicas dispuestas por el docente, sin que medie justificación alguna para alcanzar
los objetivos propuestos. Durante el periodo de evaluaciones escritas, no se permitirá a los
estudiantes el ingreso de mochilas, bolsos, teléfonos celulares ni ningún otro dispositivo
electrónico a clases. El uso de los dispositivos electrónicos en la clase debe ser únicamente con
fines educativos. Es necesario fomentar el respeto al docente, a los compañeros, autoridades y
bienes de la Universidad. Queda absolutamente prohibido el comportamiento antiético en el
proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje y procesos de evaluación, se sancionará la deshonestidad
académica (copia, trampa, fraude). Es necesario incluir la bibliografía, citas y referencias de
fuentes consultadas en trabajos realizados, con el fin de no incurrir en actividades de plagio.

10. Metodología de aprendizaje
La enseñanza de una segunda lengua no puede ser considerada desde la perspectiva de un solo
enfoque o método, dado que el contexto educativo de la actualidad se encuentra inmerso en una
era que fomenta la diversidad de saberes, las prácticas educativas incluyen una diversidad de
estrategias y procedimientos metodológicos que se conjugan dinámicamente para lograr su
cometido, de allí que en los métodos conductistas como el enfoque oral o enseñanza situacional y
el método audio lingual ayudan en la conducta lingüística de los estudiantes a través de la
imitación, la repetición y la ejercitación mecánica con el propósito de formar hábitos. Los métodos
del paradigma cognitivo reflejan la generación de conocimientos a través de procesos de
razonamiento deductivo y los métodos constructivistas como: el método natural y el enfoque
integral ayudan en los procesos cognitivos y afectivos de los estudiantes como seres integrales y
sociales. Se utilizará también un enfoque comunicativo por que aprender una segunda lengua es
conocer las normas que rigen en el proceso comunicativo y así utilizar los recursos y estrategias
que faciliten a construir el acto de comunicación y de esta manera se pone en énfasis no solo en lo
correcto gramaticalmente sino también en la adecuación de los contenidos a la situación y al
contexto comunicativo. El docente asume el rol de guía, siendo el estudiante al centro del proceso
de enseñanza-aprendizaje, se estimula la autonomía del estudiante, la creatividad y el
pensamiento crítico, así como el trabajo individual y cooperativo. El docente se preocupa por crear
un clima de aula positivo, libre de situaciones de estrés o ansiedad; estimula las relaciones
docente-estudiante y estudiante-estudiante, así como la libre expresión en un marco de respeto
mutuo. Es importante detectar las áreas de las cuatro destrezas que los alumnos necesitan
reforzar y promover su ejercitación y reflexión en dichas áreas de forma que éstos puedan asumir
objetivos de mejora personal y valorar el aprendizaje que experimentan.
11. Recursos didácticos

La enseñanza de inglés general como lengua extranjera en el Instituto de Idiomas, con el objetivo
de que sus estudiantes alcancen el nivel B1 del MCER. La consolidación de un idioma extranjero
requiere la utilización de recursos online y plataformas virtuales con material de audio y video,
material adicional de comprensión lectora y auditiva, y ejercicios de gramática y vocabulario.
Adicionalmente, se considera indispensable el apoyo al estudiante que necesite elevar su
rendimiento académico y mejorar el manejo del idioma a través de tutorías virtuales en diferentes
horarios.
