Verbo sujeto
“Whose bag is it?”
→ I wonder whose bag it is.
afirmativa.
Ejemplo:
I am not sure if/whether I should take the bag to the lost property office. Pregunta indirecta
Frase introductoria if/ whether sujeto modal verbo
Ejemplo:
I wonder whose bag it is.
Ejemplo:
Do you know who the bag belongs to?
“Go home”, she told me. “ve a casa” ella me dijo. Frase directa.
El verbo es GO, entonces se coloca en infinitive: TO GO: She told me to go home. Frase indirecta
La frase introductoria puede ser : she told me; she asked me; she ordered me,

EJEMPLOS
The doctor said to me, "Stop smoking!". The doctor told me to stop smoking.
"Get out of the car!" said the policeman. The policeman ordered him to get out of the car.
The man with the gun said to us, "Don't move!" The man with the gun warned us not to move.
por 'that'.
EJEMPLO
She said, "Why don't you get a mechanic to look at the She suggested that I should get a mechanic to look at
car?" the car. O bien:
She suggested I should get a mechanic to look at the
car. O bien:
She suggested that I get a mechanic to look at the
car. O bien:

"Why don't you go to the doctor?" he said. He suggested I go to the doctor. O bien:
He suggested that I go to the doctor. O bien:
He suggested I should go to the doctor. O bien:
He suggested that I should go to the doctor.

Reported Questions
Change these direct questions into reported speech: cambie estas preguntas directas por preguntas indirectas.
1. “Where is he?”
Wait here, please. = He told me to wait there. Could you wait here, please?
= He asked me to wait there. Would you like to wait here?
= He invited me to wait there.
Would you like to come for dinner tomorrow? = They invited me to come for dinner the following day.
Please be careful, this is dangerous stuff. = He warned me to be careful, as/because that was dangerous stuff.
Don't touch these wires. = He warned me not to touch those wires.
You should think carefully before you agree to this. = He advised me to think carefully before I agreed to that.
I'll buy the wine, shall I? = He volunteered / offered to buy the wine.
Have some biscuits, John. = He offered John some biscuits.
I suggest you go to the cinema ---> She suggested us went to the cinema.
Can you help me, Susan?, John asked. ---> John asked Susan if she could help him. ---> John asked Susan to help him.
