Recordemos: el uso de ambas expresiones es para decir “HAY” solo ten en cuenta:
 There is /der is/ cuando HAY 1.
 There are /der ar/ cuando HAY 2 o más.

Examples:
There is a bout. There are two bouts.
/deris a bout/ /derar tu bouts/
Hay un bote. Hay 2 botes.

 Ahora, fijate en las siguientes preguntas:

Is there a bout? Are there two bouts?

/is der a bout/ /ar der tu bouts/
¿Hay un bote? ¿Hay dos botes?

Yes, there is. Yes, there are.
Sí, hay. Sí, hay.

 Este tipo de preguntas es para saber si hay o no hay algo, tienes dos formas de responder “YES- SÍ” o “NO”

Cuando la pregunta es: Tu respuesta “sí” Tu respuesta “no”

Is there a…? Yes, there is No, there isn´t
Are there …? Yes, there are No, there aren´t
Por ejemplo, completa las siguientes preguntas: ( la explicación está en el video)

Is there a rocket? Are there 2 jets?
