El tema que voy a exponer es la unidad siete, que tiene como título ethical choices.

Esta unidad habla acerca de elección ética y un proceso llamado biofabricación.

Esta unidad está dividida en cinco temas los cuales son:

Siete a. food choices: el cual habla sobre los comercios justos, la producción local, modificación
genética, productos orgánicos y producción sostenible.

Siete b. what the future holds: este tema nos muestra una gráfica del aumento de carne entre mil
novecientos sesenta y uno y dos mil once. Como se puede ver a continuación:

También se puede ver hablar a expertos sobre el aumento de carne, donde se dice que el aumento
para el dos mil cincuenta será de un treinta y cinco por ciento y que habrá un aumento de la
demanda del cien por ciento en países en desarrollo.

Siete c. leather from a lab: en esta parte se puede encontrar una lectura que habla sobre la
producción de cuero, la problemática de muertes de animales y de cómo la biofabricación podría
ser la solución a esto. también se puede observar como es el proceso de la biofabricación del
cuero como se muestra en la imagen siguiente:

Siete d. leather and meat without killin animals: ANDRAS FORGACS crea una compañía donde a
través de una impresora tres d puede imprimir tejidos y órganos humanos el cual causo una
revolución creando también productos como carne y cuero para evitar las matanzas de animales.

También se puede observar a FORGAS hablar de las consecuencias que trae tener una mana de
cien mil millones de animales donde argumenta que las consecuencias serían:

Los animales usaran grandes cantidades de tierra y agua, producción de gases de efecto
invernadero y una facilidad en la propagación de enfermedades.

Siete e. looking a head: este tema se habla acerca de los efectos que podrían causar la
biofabricación en la sociedad en cuanto a:

El trabajo, la calidad de la comida, en los animales, en el ambiente, la salud de las personas y el

precio de la comida.
The topic that I am going to present is unit seven, which is entitled ethical choices.

This unit talks about ethical choice and a process called biofabrication.

This unit is divided into five themes which are:

Seven a. food choice: which talks about fair trade, local production, genetic modification, organic
products and sustainable production.

You can also see experts talking about the increase in meat, where it is said that the increase for
two thousand fifty will be thirty-five percent and that there will be an increase in demand of one
hundred percent in developing countries.

Seven c. leather from a laboratory: in this part you can find a reading that talks about the
production of leather, the problem of animal death and how biofabrication could be the solution
to this. You can also see what the leather biofabrication process is like, as shown in the following
image:

Seven d. leather and meat without killin animals: ANDRAS FORGACS creates a company where,
through a three-d printer, it can print human tissues and organs, which caused a revolution, also
creating products such as meat and leather to avoid the killing of animals.
