1 GENERAL

1.1 All supports are assigned mark numbers which indicate whether the support is a
standard support or a specific support that must be detailed.

1.2 A standard support mark indicates a standard type component which can be
fabricated from a Design Standard.

1.3 A specific support mark indicates a support that shall be detailed on a standard
detail blank, design Std. PDVSA 10606.2.709 as a job drawing.

1.4 On a job consisting for piping orthographic arragement drawings and piping
isometrics the pipe support marks shall be placed on the orthographic
arrangement drawings.

1.5 On a job consisting of a model and piping isometrics the pipe supports shall be
marked on the piping isometric. If there are not isometrics the pipe support marks
shall be placed on the model.

1.6 Trunnions and other welded pipe support attachments shall be marked on the
piping isometrics per job drawing AXXXX0045, Desing Standard PDVSA
10606.2.201. The trunnion is marked on the orthographic drawing only as TXO
(Ex: T3O for 3 Nom. Dia. trunnion).

2 PIPE SUPPORT MARKING AND LOCATION ON

ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS

2.1 Duplicated mylars of the piping orthographic drawings shall be used to mark the
location of pipe support.

2.2 These duplicated orthographic shall use the same drawing numbers as the piping
drawing except that the number will be followed by the letters to PS (Ex: Piping
Drawing EXXXX06316, becomes pipe support drawing EXXXX06316PS).

2.3 The drawings with the pipe support marks will also be labled with the following:

2.4 Piping which does not terminate on a particular orthographic drawing shall have
pipe support mark numbers shown on the rigth hand and/or bottom match lines
of the orthographic drawing.

2.5 No pipe support marks shall be shown on left hand and/or top match lines of an
orthographic drawing unless unavoidable due to termination of a line.

3 DRAWINGS NUMBERS
3.1 The assigned drawing numbers for pipe supports are 435 thru 460.

3.2 All issued pipe supports job drawing and standard shall be listed on the Pipe
Support Issue Index, job drawings AXXXXXXX451, Desing Std. PDVSA
10606.2.701.

3.3 All specific supports shall be indexed on an A (216 mm x 279 mm) size index job
drawing assigned to the type or support, Design Std. PDVSA 10606.2.702 thru
10606.2.708.

3.4 All specific supports shall be detailed on a standard detail blank A (216
mm x 279 mm) size job drawing, Design Std. PDVSA 10606.2.709, numbered
according to the type of support, revision and sequential sheet number.

3.5 Standard pipe shoes, shields, cold support cradles, guides, anchors, directional
stops, modified standard shoes and bulk order springs shall be listed on summary
lists, job drawings AXXXXXX455 thru AXXXXXX458 and AXXXXXX435,
Design Stds. PDVSA 10606.2.721 thru 10606.2.725.

3.6 Pipe Support Vessel Clips shall be detailed on a standard detail blank B (279 mm
x 431 mm) size job drawing Design Std. PDVSA 10606.2.851 for each vessel
seperately and sequentially numbered.

3.7 Assigned Numbers

3.7.1 The AXXX00450 job drawing, Design Std. PDVSA 10606.2.201 is assigned to
Welded Pipe Support Attachment which is issued to the piping fabricator for
procedural instructions for the supply of welded attachments to pipe for pipe
supports.

3.7.2 The A451 series of index list job drawings are assigned as follows:

3.7.7 The BXXXXYY441 job drawing, Desing Std. PDVSA 10606.2.851 is assigned
to Pipe Support Vessel Clips and issued to the vessel fabricator for supply of
welded clips to the vessel for pipe supports.
3.7.8 The XXXX and YY for the job drawing number represent the job number and job
area number, respectively. (EX. for job number 9900 area 1200, drawing 453A,
Revision 1, sheet 5, the drawing number would be A99012453A1. Sheet 5.

4 STANDARD PIPE SUPPORT MARK NUMBERS

4.1 Standard type components which can be fabricated from a Design Standard shall
be assigned a two part number consisting of an ALPHA and NUMERIC
designation and assigned a Design Standard drawing number.

4.2 The Design Standard drawing number consists of a nine digit number divided into
four parts. The 1 preceding the standard indicates a Bloomfield Standard. The
next four digits, 0606, indicates the Design Engineering Dept. (06) and Piping
Engineering Group (06). The .2 indicate the drawing is a Design Standard.
The last three digits indicate the Design Standard. (Ex. 10606.2.261 is the
Design Standard for STD AnchorBare Pipe 1 thru 24).

5 SPECIFIC PIPE SUPPORT MARK NUMBERS

5.1 Specific supports shall be assigned a two part number consisting of an ALPHA
and five digit NUMERIC designation and indicated on the piping arrangement
drawing with an X symbol and the assigned number.

5.2 The ALPHA portion of the number designates the type of support as shown in
Table 2 Specific Support Type.

5.3 The five digit NUMERIC portion designates the job area identification by the first
two digits and the sequential support number by the last threee digits as

5.4 The specific support shall be detailed on a standard detail blank, Design Std.
PDVSA 10606.2.709 and assigned a job drawing number per paragraph 3.6 (Ex.
For job N 9900, area 3000, specific support RS30107 detailed on sheet 5,
revision 3 and assigned series 451RS, the job darwing number is
A990030451RS3 SH 5).

5.5 All dimensions and other pertinent data for the specific mark number must be
shown on the job drawing for the support.

6 PIPE SUPPORT SYMBOLS

6.1 The symbols used for pipe supports on piping arrangement drawings are listed
on Table 3 Legend Pipe Support Symbols.

6.2 Bare pipe resting directly on existing steel requiring no additional type of support
shall not have a pipe support symbol.
