Misión
Razón principal por la cual una organización, empresa o institución existe. Por lo que la
misión en una organización nos dice adonde se pretende llegar, cual es su propósito u
objetivo y cual es función dentro de la sociedad.

Sirve como elemento de identificación con la filosofía de


la organización. Esta debe ser definida por los socios o
propietarios de la organización, empresa o institución; de
manera sencilla y clara para hacerla fácilmente
interpretable por todos los miembros de la organización.
EJEMPLO
Misión de Coca-Cola:

“Refrescar al mundo en cuerpo, mente y


espíritu. Inspirar momentos de optimismo y
felicidad a través de nuestras marcas y
acciones, para crear valor y dejar nuestra
huella en cada uno de los lugares en los que
operamos.”

Visión
Propósito general de una organización, empresa o institución existe. La visión se refiere a
donde se dirige la organización y cuales son sus metas o objetivos, ya sean a corto o largo
plazo.

Se trata de la expectativa ideal de lo que quiere alcanzar


la organización, de igual forma indicando como planea
conseguir sus metas. La visión debe ser uno de los
papeles centrales del gerente y de los socios o propietarios
de la organización; debe servir como referencia para todas
las actuaciones de todos los miembros de la organización.
