Chain 137 sts. Work in pattern st following graph A.

Opening: When shawl measures 22 7/8” (58 cm) measuring from

the start, divide the work in half (there will be 1 more st at the right
side than at the left side) and continue working each side separately.
Continue working the left side in pattern st following graph B.
When left side measures 31 7/8” (81 cm) measuring from the start
of the opening, cut the yarn and fasten off.
Bring back into work the sts from the right side and continue working
in pattern st following graph C.
When right side measures 31 7/8” (81 cm) measuring from the start
of the opening, cut the yarn and fasten off.
