Oral presentation: It is the communication of some contents
in front of an audience from a previous outline, info graphic
or script. It is a practice of great importance in many fields. In
the academic field, it is presented in the explanations that
teachers give in class or in the work that students
communicate to their classmates. (EXPOSICIÓN ORAL: Es la
comunicación de unos contenidos ante un auditorio a partir de un
esquema previo o guión. Es una práctica de gran importancia en
diversos ámbitos. En el ámbito académico, está presente en las
explicaciones que los profesores dan en clase o en los trabajos
que los estudiantes comunican a sus compañeros).

Before preparing an oral presentation, analyze this

information (Antes de preparar una exposición oral, analiza esta
información):

1. To make a presentation is to present a topic orally in front

of an audience. (Exponer es presentar oralmente un tema
frente a un auditorio).
2. In a presentation conveys information on a topic of interest to an audience. (En una
exposición, se transmite información sobre un tema que interesa a un público).
3. Prior to the presentation, the topic is defined (Tourism in Prado), People are invited and
the place is prepared. (Previo a la exposición, se define el tema (turismo en Prado), se cita a
las personas y se acondiciona el lugar).
4. Practice the pronunciation of your speech. (Practicas la pronunciación del discurso).
5. During a presentation, both voice and body are important; use verbal and non-
verbal language. (Durante una exposición, tanto la Voz como el cuerpo son importantes;
utiliza el lenguaje verbal y no verbal).
6. Speak as you normally do; don´t confuse yourself with “strange” words. (Habla
como normalmente lo haces; no te confundas con palabras “extrañas”).
7. Enjoy your oral presentation. Remember that you have invested time, energy
and effort in the preparation. (Disfruta la exposición. Recuerda que has invertido tiempo,
energía y esfuerzo en la preparación).
