- Regret + gerund = sentir una acción realizada con anterioridad: I regret going to see that film: it was
so boring.
Regret + infinitive = sentir lo que vas a decir (formal use): We regret to inform you that we are unable

2. Verb + particle + object / + object + participle
With some phrasal verbs the particle can be separated from its object. It can be placed both before and
after the object, if the object is a noun. If the object is a pronoun the particle must come 2) before /
